STILL TOTALLY ADD, I’m with you! I had, as a child, nightmares, stuttering, hives caused by nerves (per the Dr.), always felt under condemnation by God, because he knew I didn’t like anything about this religion. I didn’t like meetings or assemblies, hated field service, and wanted so badly to “fit in” and be normal, like flag salute, Christmas, birthdays, Halloween, etc. mom told me at age 8 that Jehovah would kill me at Armageddon if I saluted the flag. I had it drummed into my head that this was “the truth”, and si I believed it was, and I grew up thinking there was something wrong with me if I hated it so much. Sigh.

If I was still PIMI, I'd be terrified
by neat blue dog injust looking at the pictures in tomorrow's wt study makes me think of the nightmares i used to have as a child.
and nowadays the pictures are sometimes more realistic, so for any who are truly mentally in, this has a terrible effect on them and even their life choices.
looking in as a pimo or pomo it seems almost comical that adults would believe in this sci-fi bible fan-fiction, but it's not funny when we remember that all ages of the r&f are being manipulated by the gb by these cheap and evil means.. .

January 2020 WT, earthly hope
by neat blue dog inone of the latest wts rehashes this core jw theology.
i know it's old hat, but i feel it's always worth pointing out, as it's one of the major things to wake me up and it's relatively easily proven using the bible alone.. throughout the bible, there aremany examples of men of faith who re-ceived holy spirit; yet, they did not havethe hope of living in heaven.
john the baptistwas “filled with holy spirit.” (luke 1:13-16) jesus said that there was no mangreater than john, but then he said thatjohn would not be included in the heav-enly kingdom.

Dealing With Smelly People
by minimus ini can never understand why some people simply stink.they don’t smell themselves??
i knew of certain jws that had to be counseled many times because they refused to regularly bathe, wash their hair or use deodorant.
and it’s not just witnesses.

Canadians and Europeans, what do you think of your national health care ?
by RubaDub inwe have been in a battle over health care for so long here in the us regarding public, private, gov't subsidized, obama care, medicare for all, and just about every permutation of the above.. we hear the horror stories here that people wait 20 years for a check-up (ok, bit of an exaggeration), but you get the point.
one side tells us that canadians flock across the border when they are sick and need to see a doctor.
the other side says that is simply not the case.. so tell us, if you live under one of the government systems would you replace it?

I heard of an Illinois resident (US citizen) who had no insurance but needed a lung transplant. The doctors asked for $500,000.00 UPFRONT to do the needed surgery. He, of course, did not have that much money, so he moved to Canada, became a legal resident, and got his lung transplant FREE from the Canadian government. I don’t think that was right, but I guess he did what he had to do to survive. I think the US needs national health care.

Not official representatives?
by Lost in the fog injust copying this article from a us newspaper website.
it was the section of the article that said, ".
when a reporter asks about jehovah's witness beliefs, a church elder refers her to the website jw.org, explaining that the quinoneses and wellses aren't official church spokespersons.".

by blondie inblondie’s food for thought, 11/03/2019 wt study article, jah values humble servants, september 2019. https://www.jw.org/en/library/magazines/watchtower-study-september-2019/jehovah-values-his-humble-servants/.
opening comments/food for thought.
i first asked myself, why does the wts sometimes use the word “servant” then “slave”?

I used to always wonder, as a kid, why the “weaker spiritually “ members always seemed more Christlike than the “ company men”.

Publisher ID - I Saw It In Person & It Was Terrifying!
by thedepressedsoul ini'd like to start off this post by saying, we all know that the wt loves control.
it's clear by their history, their wt's, the elder arrangement and so on.
however, after witnessing and using the publish id program in person, it takes this need for control to a whole new level & it was scary.. if you've ever seen builder assist (the website program used for ldc volunteers) or the metro program, it actually looks pretty similar to that.
