i just returned home from the hospital.

my sister in law had a mis- carriage today.

it was a very sad day for her and my wifes family.

Sorry for the loss. I often think of people this happens to and I really don't understand how they can cope. I would fall to pieces.
Dont' allow the anger and disgust to eat you up too much. It will deter you from your goal, to comfort the family.

Don't blame him/them, per se. But I have found that not only are most JDubs ignorant they are also stupid, lack intelligence, many don't have educations to speak of. They are even encouraged not to think too much, believe it or not.

Correct me if I am wrong, and sorry to add fuel to the very well justified flame, ...but isn't the current dogma of the JDubs that babies who were not born/birthed will not be coming back in the ressurection? Something to do about Job having wished he had died before he was born and therefore not ever seen the light of day.

Whose going to call me a liar on these points? I've been and have been around the JDubs my entire life. Although I know of other thinking and/or ideas (that's why I get in trouble so much), I know of no other way or outlook to live.

I know you may have only been using a figure of speech Infrared, but
YK does have a point in at least the gun respect. Leave the guns where they belong, in incinerators.

Since I have known nothing else I would defintely have to say, anything by the WTBS. You didnt' say for good or bad. Everything no doubt gets filtered through that. Hey I weakly gave up on my hope of becoming a cardiologist because of them.

Trusting You To Make Me Smile!

a few months ago, 'somebody' - or 'chag' to h20'-ers, and i, had some dialogue about smiley music.. 'smiley' music is music that brings a great big smile to your face, when you hum or whistle along to it, you just can't help a big grin spreading from ear to ear.

it has to be good enough for you to say "wow, that is good", it has to be good enough for someone to take the trouble to wait for the download via audiogalaxy before they have even heard it.. so, what music / song can you recommend to others like me?

bear in mind, please, that i shall post my opinions very, very honestly, especially if it takes forever to download!.

i was not exactly sure where to post.

but here i go.. i am listening to music that was popular when i was in high school.

and bringing back memories of when i was a teen, and in my early 20's.

I never married her. I only kissed her and shared my dreams with her. She left me for another. Regardless I think of her everyday. I hope she is happy.

If I had to describe her looks, it would be most like Christy Turlington. But Christy Turlington, has those signature lips.

I married another. I have ONLY "been" with ONE person, my wife. As soon as I get my head outta my ass I'll treat her like the treasue she really is.

Some have said my wife looks like Ashley Judd. I think she looks more like Jodie Applegate, former host the weekend ed. of the Today show.

I'm like Ralph Cramdon of the Honeymooners (Jackie Gleason). a person with a big heart but fumbling on knowing how to use it.

I joke a lot but my heart is full of pain.

Not being there to protect them.

My children getting old and becoming old people and dying. I will always remember them as lovable children

There is NO afterlife. Therefore, nonexistence scares me.

after reading puppylove's post, "a sad example of jw brainwashing /twisted thinking", and hearing very familiar comments, i have decided to relate an experience i had a few days ago, which i am leary to relate since the key factor severely limits the jw population of "possibles".

(details are purposefully sketchy to protect my identity.

a jw, who usually avoids me like the plague, placed themself in a position of being alone with me for a few hours due to their greedy desire to obtain something free.

March 1980 WT -the closest you will see the WTBS make an apology. Why would they need to make an apology if they didn't do it?

how did this person get a PHD when for all-intents-and-purposes they weren't supposed to be supporting this ungodly system of things if they were a good little christian?

I have a strong tendency to believe in the Elder school they have now, that the Elders are being taught that the great apostacy of the 1970's had something to do with 1975. Blame it on Raymond Franz mentality.

If they aren't teaching that, I know that at least they are not correcting that thinking. Because I also believe that many people in the borg either conscieciously or unconscieciously think that.

Watch the movies and read the books of Animal Farm and 1984 by George Orwell. To some people it's just a story. But to me it's a scarry and uncanny resemblance to big brother.

BTW I did addresss a letter to the WTBS, starting with Dear Big Brother,

I have a question though, if the WTBS really believed the end would come in 1975 then why didn't they stop publishing books and WT, A! etc. Did they slow down production. Did they stop building, etc? THat could be used in their defense couldn't it?

1. To have never been born

2. I would have gotten the education I was destined for. Becoming a foremost leading heart surgeon. I worshipped DeBakey, Cooley, Bernard. That stuff came to me effortlessly, at that time.

But now with so much negativism.... A dream becomes the whole motivation for life. Remove that dream and that life, those abilities, are gone. Perhaps latently they exist, but who cares.

3. To wipe from my memory or to have never gotten involved with the love of my life. Not a day has passed that the torture, of not being with her, doesn't affect me. It's been 17 long years since I last kissed her. I hope she's having a wonderful life.

4. Don't let anyone CRUSH your dream. That's what this lesson has taught me to teach my children. That is, if I didn't get my wish in number 1, above. So here I am real life. I still have a chance, because Number 4 is worth ALL the 1-3, Repeats.

Can You Defend Yourself before a J. Committee?

to those who have been before a judicial committee for apostacy.. the elders will ask you questions not for the purpose of finding out the truth, but to make sure they can df you.. at my appeal hearing serveral months ago i was questioned by the appeal committees to their satifaction, they even thanked me for my honesty, as it helped them get what they were looking for to make the original dfing stand.. after they were finished with their questions i ask if i could now defend myself and prove that i was telling the truth and not a biblical apostate.. the chairman informed me that i would not be allowed to defend myself.. i looked at all 8 brothers(2 committees 5 & 3) in total amazement at his refusal to allow me to defend myself.

to them(8) it seem perfectly alright not to allow me to defend myself.. wow.. the chairman said they really were not a judicial court and did not need to be that concerned about doing things in harmony with what is concidered to be fair and right by worldly courts or the bible.

in fact the chairman spent about 10 minutes trying to explain why they didn't have have to be fair in the legalistic way of courts.. .

My Bro. was going thru a very difficult time. He had to go into a mental hospital. His behaviour was so strange that it shocked me. I thought he was putting on an act. He was a different person, I tell you.

I was with him and he requested from an E.R. Dr. for a certain medicine, and that he wanted the Dr. to write out a death certificate. I chewed the Dr. out right there on the spot. He was going to give the medicine, just because my Bro. asked for it.

Anyway, my bro. shows up at the K.H. with my Dad. My Bro. was like a complete zombie. Not because of the break-down but because of the meds.

Anyway, he sent a letter in to the local Elders, saying he wanted to DA himself. Now the Elders knew full well of his mental condition but carried it out anyway. He did it out of protest because they were doing NOTHING to his former wife. IT's a long story.

A couple years later I asked the PO of the Hall why they did that and he said, that's what he wanted. I then reminded him and asked him if he was aware of my Bros. condition at the time. He was aware.

They really didn't care. I think they just wanted to shut him up. Which is one of the biggest advantages for them. Don't want the story to leak? DA or DF someone, it totally discredits a person as far as they are concerned.

It took several years for him to find out that his wife had committed adultery, several times.

Don't look for things to criticize so often. That is a JW trait.

No it's not, it's a people trait. Funny how you makes such blanket, generalized statements. Single out a group for a scape goat.

Maybe you are/were a negative/pessimistic person. I tend to be negative/pessimistic. But I wouldn't characterize a whole group of people that way.

I think all/many religion instills an element of guilt for motivation. All/many religions questions a persons motives: whether they are good or bad.

Check out these boreds Mulan. All they do is criticize the WTBS/JDubs. But you say it is a JDub trait. Wake up Mulan, it's a forum trait too.

My Grandfather-hours from death; what 's next?

my mother called me and asked me to pick up my sister because my grandfather is going to pass away in a few hours.

i don't know why this is moving me so much, but it is.

My prayers are with you.

It is a sad inevitable truth. We all make the passing. No one's failed yet. I felt the same when both my grandfather's died. A whole life gone. For all-intents-and-purposes, in the blink of an eye. I have to honestly tell myself, that this is not the way God wanted it. It's much too painful.

I also have to believe that God will rectify the problem. John 5:28,29

I've done a rather extensive research on my paternal geneology and as I came across each person, I seen a hero, a hero that got me and my children here. Their lives may have been troubled at times, but what a journey. A celebration of lives.

Your grandfather must be that same kind of hero for bringing in to the world such a loving, caring, and beautiful person as yourself. You have a heart that feels.

If you have time, let him know that his life had value, that HE meant something, that HE means something to you. It's not a time for "I'm sorries" and missed opportunities, it is a time for "thank you's and love you's"
