being raised (since the age of 7) as a jw, i grew up very frustrated sexually.
everything about sex carried a heavy burden of guilt.
I was like Gumby. But I did feel this French sister's boobs while playing around in the back of the bus on the way back from a London Bethel visit. It was only momentary touching of the breasts, honest! I didn't touch my first wife until after we were married. We had a number of opportunities to go much further when we were engage but I always chickened out.
I never pursued anything with a non-JW as I was too indoctrinated. I remember getting a lecture from a JW friend who called in to see me at work and who spent some time chatting with the receptionist. He made it sound like the receptionist and I were shagging every night when all I'd done is chatted to her a work a few times. How screwed up is that?

the feb.1st watchtower mentions that just as a pregnant woman over 9 months gradually has signs of a baby's growth in the womb, so too, we may have a fulfillment of bible prophecy without knowing it fully beforehand until the effects and results become obvious.

What has happened to the UN in all of this? Paragraph 12 mentions the "International Year of Peace" in 1986. This was promoted by the UN but there is no mention. The word politicians is uded but I thought diplomats engage in the peace process.
In paragrapgh 14 the "kings of the Earth" turn on "Babylon the Great." But what will unite all the nations to do this? Evidently not the UN as afterall, many NGOs from various religions provide support to the UN by promoting the work and objectives of the UN.

My wife bought me a Makita router and a set of carbide bits. Her dad ordered it for her after consulting a builder friend. I can't wait to start my next project. I bought her a techie gadget she wanted, a Japanese robe and an Indian scarf made of silk and Kasmir wool. My son got a coupe of X-Box games that my bro-in-law and I have been practicing so we can kick a$$.

i've never had a problem with any of my kids bunking in with their girlfriends/boyfriends whenever they come to stay.
to be frank, i don't even notice it.
they've only done it when they've been in long-term relationships.

I couldn't stay at my parent's house with my girlfriend even though we asked for separate rooms. After saying we'd stay elsewhere they offered to let me stay as long as the girlfriend slept at another location. It soured our relationship (parents and me), we only saw them for a few hours during our 2 week visit and has meant they barely know my wife. (They didn't attend our wedding either...another story) When we visit the UK again (likely in 2004) Mrs Thirdson and I will pay for a hotel room.

I recently visited Japan during the O-seibo season and brought un-wrpaped gifts with apologies because of not knowing how to wrap to Japanese customs. (I still don't understand left and right over lapping)
I attempt to wrap as best I can. Boxes are easiest and therefore I put difficult-to-wrap items in boxes first. I have learned to save boxes for re-use later. (My wife is so practical) I don't think anyone really cares that much about the wrapping as it gets ripped off anyway. I think it is important to make an effort and adding ribbon and bows can help cover flaws.

this evening i received a cheque from the wts!!!.
they actually finally refunded my last two payments to the worldwide work fund, which had been taken out of my account by direct debit erroneously, when my bank forgot to cancel as directed.. i now have samples of peter ellis and ron drage's signitures, which i will photocopy for posterity before cashing said cheque, forthwith, in the morning.. oh, and get this... they called me "brother", and sent me "warm christian love and best wishes" (sounds like a crimble card) in the covering note that was attached.. i can't be as notorious as i thought .
further (in addition to the seasonal greetings) it was dated 4th december, which is my birthday.. bless their little cotton socks, for giving me a birthday present, too!!!.

Once one has committed adultery they can have a scriptural divorce and then both are free to re-marry. This leads me to my question about JW or Watchtower rules.
If a JW couple separate and get divorced neither is free to re-marry without suffering the consequences of a JC. If while divorced the couple have sex with each other are they commiting fornication as they are not married? If so and regardless of whether they get DF'd or not are they now free to re-marry? If so, a couple could divorce, commit fornication and free themselves to re-marry without involving anyone else. Bizarre?
