Newsweek Letter Writer Silenced
by silentlambs inthe following email was sent to me today, if anyone would like to send and encouraging comment to loris i will be glad to forward it to her.
all she did was tell the truth and now she is facing sanction in the congregation.
so according to wt pr you are not sanctioned if you go to the police but you are sanctioned if you talk about it.

To JC, My Sweet Lord: listen up
by wasasister indear jc: .
i was happy to note in another thread that you are still with us and observing your humble servants.
it's been very difficult with you and the big guy away on vacation, what with all my supplications going unanswered.

Anderson Committee Move In For Kill
by silentlambs inwell it appears the watchtower is back at their executions.
after jr brown besmirched her moral character by saying she was being disfellowshipped for other sins unrelated to the dateline program, now three men want to meet her at a motel?
why not the kingdom hall?

The Perfume Issue
by Bleep inmany people still keep forgetting to throw away the perfumes and strong fragrances at my hall.
it is a big thing in some congregations to wear it.
i have heard that most churches stay away from it.

re: Taking a balanced view of the allegations?
by Visionary Man inthis is my first post on this forum.
i am by all accounts a witness, if not an ideal one.
in light of the reaction after the panorama program i have seen a mixed variety of responses.

ItsJustlittleoldme, what you said is so true.
Nanoprobe, if there was a DNA test being done and the court found him guilty, why was that pedophile lingering around the KingdomHall?

Since I don't agree with the WTS, I could be an apostate, too. But darn...I live in California.

Of misinformation and reliable reporting of facts
by invisible inin times gone past and of late i have been getting increasingly worried about the amount of misinformation that is sometimes here represented within this community.
as a note to all posters, myself included in this, can we urge each other to make sure that what we are reporting is fact and not pie in the sky.. many more 'outside' parties are now taking an interest in these important issues and it does our collective credibility no good whatsoever if information is not properly reported or substantiated.
let us all stick to the facts and comment only on what we know to be true.

I agree with you, Mark. If it's not fact, no one shouldn't say it as a fact.
I have posted several comments on child abuse and others. Those are facts. I had talked to the elders and got the answers out of their mouths ( sorry it's not documented. They wouldn't give me anything in writing even the elders' handybook). I also looked up the Watchtower CD ROM and went to a local State University library for research, and got those facts as well.
However, I've got a problem with current Witnesses who keep saying all this child abuse case is "half truth propaganda". Well, can anyone tell me the other half truth is??????? Do they know for a fact that the other truth really exists? Or were they just heard or told by someone or some people who heard or told by someone or some other people? Geesh......How ambiguous can you be????????? :-p

What are your careers?
by The_Bad_Seed in.
having milled around this board for a little while, and getting to know the odd poster a tad better, one (at least i do) gets to wondering what some of you do for work.... i work installing custom hardwood flooring and ceramic tiles, with the odd wc renovation, and was going to start a career last year in avionics, but our friend osama put my plans on the backburner, until (or if) the canadian industry returns to normal.
i am considering going to university to further my photography skills, and am currently (and very slowly) working on a pictorial book that i hope to be published by the time i am 95. oh, and i devote 87643 hours of service to yhwh each month.. your turn.... .

Will they disassociate me?
by Sirona inmy boyfriend was disgusted with the jws after the panorama programme, and has decided to da himself.
none of his family are jw and he just simply does not want to be listed as a jw anymore.. since we are known by the congregation to be together, will they da or df me for seeing him?.
bear in mind, neither of us have set foot in the kh for a couple of years.

Well, I wanted to be just inactive. But I was getting to much pressure from my mother who is a reg. pioneer. I had to live and act like a faithful witness. That meant complying all the rules and "the policies" of the WTS. ARGH!!!!!!! I couldn't stay as a witness any longer. I just couldn't condone the WTS's "just ignore and don't challenge" policy any longer.
So I got DA. It was hard when I was making the decision. But now I feel much better. I have never committed any sin ( fornication, adultery..etc.) that required shunning according to the Bible. If they ( my former friends) think I'm "evil" just because I'm not a member of their organization any more, then so be it because that wasn't a real friendship after all.
