  well, i have been checking this board for a few days and love reading the comments.

  i remember starting going to the meetings when i was 5 and continued till i stopped going to the meetings about 10 yrs ago......total of 25 yrs to the meetings.

  i remember as a kid not being able to celebrate birthdays or stuff like that and wearing our dresses up to our knees....that was awful.

  hi there..im new to the board.

  i am a coptic orthodox christian right now, and i am good friends with a witness.

  unfortunately, i didnt know enough about my own religion before i started listening to my friend and i am starting to question my faith.

  Bill Bowen's unfortunate attack

  like carl olof jonsson, this is the first time i have ever written to this forum.

  i have decided to do so, however, because i am saddened at what bill bowen has chosen to do in reference to ray franz.

  let me say that i given bill full marks for publicizing an issue child abuse and the watchtower cover up of it and for taking a stand that has cost him a great deal personally.

  Jim, thanks for your comments! I haven't read your book, but I would like to in the future! I hope all this will clear up. I agree, non of this has been encouraging and uplifting and has done more harm than good. As a supporter of Silentlambs, I think this has hurt Bill and his credibility. I truly wish it had never happened.

  What Era Would You Like To Have Lived In?

  besides the one we are currently in, i mean.. for me, i feel a strong draw back to the late 1930s and early 1940s.

  as i get older, i find myself enjoying the big band sound even more than i ever did, as well as the movies and radio programs of the era.

  for some reason, the appeal to that era stops about mid ww2.

  But ladies, what about child birth???? Can you imagine having a baby back in those day's or any other type of surgury or ailment. I recently had gall blatter surgury and I can't imagine what I would have done if I were living back then!!! Probably just suffer! I had endometriosis back in my 20's. Can't imagine having to live with that without the treatment that today has to offer. Sorry girls, I'm pretty good with the now! I think times were tough way back then. Doesn't anybody agree with me on this! Alright alright I know I'm a wimp!

  Don't know that one either! I think she was from the first suvivor show also. I didn't watch the first one, but got hooked on the ones after that!

  LB, who do you think is going to make it to the end on the new suvivor? Just a guess, cause you never know, but I think the New York cop has a good chance.
