  What are You all Doing Here?

  a friend of mine recommended i peruse this forum because he is of the impression i would find it rewarding.

  the basis of his recommendation was due to a very long friendship and not due to any association (that i do not have) with jehovahs witnesses.

  he considers me his superior in intellect and wants an appraisal of this sight but to be honest i have neither the incliniation nor the time to get in deep enough to comment.

  whether raised jws or we joined at some point in life, we learned to regard patriotism as wrong, part of the devil's system of things.

  if we became jws between the mid-1960s and mid-1970s, we had additional social influence to regard patriotism as wrong, as being duped by the elite politicians who use citizens for cannon fodder in wars, or other nationalistic pursuits.

  the hippie movement was partly a catalyst that spawned many anti-war, hence, anti-usa government, hence anti-patriotism movement in this country.

  I am an American patriot. I tend to vote Republican or Libertarian.

  I love ya, man!

  However, I'm a littled miffed at the ease in which Canadian customs let people enter the country then go to the U.S.

  i've been on vacation for the past week.

  i elected to stay home and devote my time to getting several projects accomplished around the house.

  i made myself a solemn vow that come what may, i was absolutely going to get a table built for my patio this week.

  it happened to me before i was ever baptized, and continued on after i was baptized.

  it ended when i confronted him and took it to the elders.

  i didn't get anywhere with that so, i moved to a different congregation.

  Hi teejay,

  There are many I'd like to meet, including you. To me, the obvious are some that have contributed to XJW causes for many years, like Farkel, Alan, Amazing, Maximus, JT, Dung, Gedanken, Focus and even You Know. I'd love to pick their brains for hours, maybe even days. I tried and tried to warm up to Fred, but he just enjoyed being a dick, so I'll cross him off the list.

  There ARE a few I'd not like to meet, but I won't name them.

  Have you ever saved a life?

  when i was about 11 years old me and my two(not so bright)sisters were at a hotel swimming pool.i was sitting by the pool watching my one sister(we will call her k) that could barely swim herself teach my other sister who was terrified of water(we will call her b) how to swim.they started out in shallow end swimming underwater when b went off course and ended up in the deep end.when she came up she started panicing and k went over to help her.

  b grabed on to k pushing her under water and then k paniced and pushed b under trying to stay above water.they did this cute little routine for a while (up pops k down goes k up pops b down goes b)if it was'nt so life threatening it would of been hilarious.

  (i did start laughing...at first)then it got to the point where i knew i had to do something because they were getting ready to drown...they were swallowing tons of water and there was no time to get help.

  About 10 years ago, I rescued a guy from his car that had flipped 4 times after being broadsided by a dipshit that ran a stop sign. I had just finished CPR and emergency rescue training when this happened. Made sure that he had no broken bones, and had to keep the gathering crowd at bay until the paramedics arrived. This happened right in front of my house.

  i'm new to this forum and have been reading all these topics and posts and kind of getting to know some of you.

  i've always purposely avoided anti-witness or ex-witness opinion before but i'm tired and am looking for an end to it all.

  like it says, i am very much in love with a witness, and she is very much in love with me.
