best dressed, wittiest, sweetest, nicest woman who posts on this forum?.
it's eyegirl .
the fact that she sent me the best christmas gift that arrived in the mail today, to my total and complete surprise and delight, has absolutely nothing to do with my assessment of this person!
I see some distorted freak because the mirror breaks every time I look at it.

tony blair is george bush's little poodle.
this guy is going against what every englishman really wants by standing side by side with you yanks on everything bush decideds to do .
as terrible as 9/11 really was , if it was london that dusty bin laden would have hit , there is no way that bush would be side by side with blair in a 'war on terrorism' .
Iron Eagle,
Welcome! Your name reminds me of Nazi Germany for some reason.

i have heard some rumors that the society is selling some of the properties in brooklyn.
specifically the furman st bldg was mentioned.
has anyone else heard this?
The only thing I could find on the Brooklyn site regarding 'hovahs was the link to the damn WTS's site.

i remember hearing over and over about how wonderful it was to be gathered together at the assemblies, and how the brotherly love flowed, and everyone got along.. they would comment that where else could you get 10,000 and more people together where there was so much peace and unity.. we were flat out told there was no where that this occured.
that wordly people could never have that many people together, then riots would happen, fights, drunken idiots etc.. well, i have been to many busines seminars, where there are thousands of people, and they never get out of hand.
i have been to many concerts with thousands of people there, and they don't get out of hand.. how egotistical these power witnesses are to think they are the only ones that can get along peacefully.. i know there are cases of fights, or something at large events, but there has been things like that at assemblies too.. has anyone here seen fights, or disturbances at assemblies, or large witness gatherings?
The funny thing is, I knew of many of the young JW that would become quite rowdy the nights after each assembly day.
Oh, yeah! Hit the clubs to watch live music and pound several pints. That's what most 'hovahs I knew did.

after reading some posts on this forum, it is easy to see that some people here are extremely gifted.
some write beautifully.
some arguments are brilliant, too.

it's common practice for dubs to end their prayers with words that indicate that they are being made "in jesus' name" i.e.
through the mediatorship of jesus.
more than that, dubs listening to congregation prayers would be aghast if the prayer leader omitted the words "through jesus christ" as the concluding remark of his prayer.
When I was a 'hovah, I was fully aware that Jesus was only the mediator for the anointed ones, yet I was OK with it. Somehow, it's OK for r&f 'hovahs to pray in Jesus name even if they understand the WTS's official teaching on the matter.
As long as 'hovahs understand the following WTS quote, it's OK for the r&f to pray saying that Jesus is "our" mediator:
by their associating with the little flock of those yet in that covenant they come under benefits that flow from that new covenant. During the millennium Jesus Christ will be their king, high priest and judge.
More WTS twisted reasoning, inho.
