  Funny stuff, Duncan.

  My X 'hovah friend, "Gomer" who still believes, used to say "you know" about a gazillian times in a talk. I used to sit and chuckle, and count how many times he said it. Finally, after one particular talk he gave, I told him that he said "you know" 68 times in that one talk!

  no, i don't think it is the "truth" any more, but for 22 years i did.

  that is what makes this so very difficult to come to grips with, admitting that i wasted all that time as a mindless drone.

  we have all sat at jw meetings and heard some ridiculous statements that were either shocking or just plain old bunk.

  usually it is the same jw individuals that make those statements time and time again.

  you know the type..... you can almost expect such comments from them.. jws place great importance on what statements or persons are 'stage worthy'.

  do you remember all of the 'counsel' about 'word whiskers' that was given during the theocrapttic misery drool?

  my sister and i (about 13-14 at the time) had always laughed at the more consistent word whiskers in our hall.

  The double dog dare at the Kingdom Hall

  last night i posted a picture of my watchtower jack o'lantern and lyin eyes double dog dared me to take it to the kingdom hall.

  sooo................. after the trick or treating was over, we loaded the kids in the minivan and drove to the kingdom hall.

  i put the pumpkin on the railing on the front porch right in front of the main entrance.

  Officially Disassociated Tonight

  steve and i attended our very last meeting this evening.

  i wrote a thread a few weeks ago about our elder visit and their decision to announce that we were disassociated.

  they agreed to wait until we returned from our vacation so i could tell my grandma who still attends via phone link and so she wouldn't have to be alone in her devastation.
