The recent new format drove me crazy for a while. I didn't know how to edit posts or anything like that...made me a crazy woman - which I am already somewhat. Now that I know what I am doing, it's very easy. This is a great forum, a place to vent and meet up with old friends who got fed up with the WT just like I did!

by confuzcious inhey guys,.
an experience just came to my mind and was wondering if anyone else had experiences of bizarre restrictions.... anyway, i was just publicly reproved and was on restriction so i wasn't allowed to comment.
ok, fine.... well, the congregation was having it's big memorial cleaning day, but i decided to go out in field service.

how do you define...
by SpiceItUp infriends and frienship?.
i am currently having a situation where "friends" of mine and i are at odds over a situation that is not relevant to post about and i don't really feel it neccessary to go into detail about.
they made a statement that it is not their intention for it to come between friends.

I have very few close friends, my most dearest friend has put up with me for over 20 years. The ones I have I will keep forever. Sometimes though I need to be a friend to myself...

Did Being A Witness Screw You Up THAT Much???
by minimus in.
a number of people feel that basically, not only was their life stolen from them because they were witnesses, but because of their being at one time jw's, they are screwed for the rest of their lives.
are you in that category?

I think I was screwed up before I became a Witness, and then got screwier after being one for several years. Now I work every day not to be screwy...

That's what Beaver on Leave it to Beaver had to do last night on TV Land, write a composition about "the most interesting person he knew..." he chose his father...
The most interesting person I know...celebrity wise...I met Barry Williams from The Brady Bunch...he was interesting, and still cute - lol

Did You Feel "Special" Because You Were A " Minister"?
by minimus inmost jw's that i have known were proud and happy to be called "ministers".
it gave them a sense of superiority over other laypersons.
brothers might especially be happy to have that designation, especially if they didn't want to be drafted.

I remember a few years ago, the Dallas Morning News printed the headline "a new minister"...it was showing the baptism at the convention in Fort Worth...with a small story about how JW's feel as if their ministers as soon as their baptized. I never felt like a minister...maybe miserable though!
