I agree with Amelia Ashton, but otherwise I haven't done anything to apply it because I don't believe that one can seek a kingdom that does not exist. In contrast to people who, before an election, go out and campaign, they know when the start date is of the government. But how does one campaign for something vague.

What's the most extreme thing you ever did to apply Matt 6:33?
by Julia Orwell inas it's conflated with witnessing, meetings and so forth...what's the most extreme sacrifice you made for those things?
for me it was my mental health and maybe a career in something cooler than being an office fungus.. you?.

Why do JWs celebrate Jesus dying rather than his resurrection?
Because that is how he said to do it. But it really is not a celebration but a continuance of the passover in how the angel of death passes over because of the shed blood.
The Memorial, held annually, was to be done in "remembrance" of Christ until he returned.
That part about his returning is what Paul added. He added that because when the 144,000 are in heaven (which is what is meant by his return), then it will no longer be necessary (well, it is not necessary now, but it won't have any meaning then). Some make the mistake of asking why it is celebrated after 1914. Jesus didn't return in 1914. He became king then. He returned to his apostles when he resurrected them.

Jehovah generously provides?
by Rattigan350 inthe june 15 2013 w pg 13, para 6&7 has an experience of a pioneer that needed $66 to pay her rent the next day.
she prayed and went to work at her job as a waitress.
when she finished her shift she had received a total of $66 in tips.

Thanks for the $66 belongs to those giving tips or to the person working her butt off to earn the tips
I like what Bart Simpson says about prayer: I worked for it and earned the money to buy it, why thank God for it.

When she finished her shift she had received a total of $66 in tips. The text then said 'Nancy is convinced that Jehovah generously provided exactly what she needed'.
Generous means "liberal in giving, marked by abundance or ample proportions"
That does not sound liberal or abundance. If she needed $66, generous would be $660 or $6600 dollars or more.
Malachi 1 says Bring all the tenth parts+ into the storehouse, that there may come to be food in my house;+ and test me out, please, in this respect,”+ Jehovah of armies has said, “whether I shall not open to YOU people the floodgates of the heavens+ and actually empty out upon YOU a blessing until there is no more want"
That is what generous is. What about the next month or for other needs?
Back in the days when Israel crossed the Red Sea, that news traveled around of his great works. And also at the time of Rahab. But now we have $66 dollars. What happened to the the way of things of old? I'm not saying he would help people win lotto, as that would mean that he would be helping others lose. But I would expect bigger things from a generous provision.

if the rapture started now?
by fakesmile insince the majority would be "left behind", i wonder.
clearly the hard workers who neglected "spiritual things" to persue a career in the science field or just working with the hands will be of the many left.
what would this world be like if all fundies just dissappeared.

There is no rapture. Simple as that.

If that 78 year old woman was my mother......oh baby.
My mother got bit by my pups, her fault for letting it happen.
What is sad about this story and the comments is that people don't know how to handle dogs. People are afraid of dogs. That is the worst thing to be. My dogs won't hurt me because they are afraid of me and know that I am not afraid of them, and I won't be afraid of anyone else's either. If your hand is firmly around the dog's windpipe, they won't do damage. Or if your boot is firmly implanted in their heads, they won't do damage.

Gentile Times Reconsidered? Are you serious. He needs to reconsider it.
1 Samuel 7
I shall certainly raise up your seed after you, which will come out of your inward parts; and I shall indeed firmly establish his kingdom. 13 He is the one that will build a house for my name, and I shall certainly establish the throne of his kingdom firmly to time indefinite. 14 I myself shall become his father, and he himself will become my son. When he does wrong, I will also reprove him with the rod of men and with the strokes of the sons of Adam. 15 As for my loving-kindness, it will not depart from him the way I removed it from Saul, whom I removed on account of you. 16 And your house and your kingdom will certainly be steadfast to time indefinite before you; your very throne will become one firmly established to time indefinite.”’”
That is a prophesy leading to Christ, starting with Solomon, his descendants were sitting on Jehovah's throne, and one day Jesus would be sitting on Jehovah's throne. But from David, time went by and Jesus never sat on a throne. Infact Jehoiakim became a vassal king subject to Egypt and Babylon and the the kingdom fully fell. It appears that the throne was not firmly established. It seemed as if that prophesy failed; or did it?
No, it didnt' fail, Jehovah just paused it for 7 times or 2520 years and then Jesus was installed as king, not in old Jerusalem which was rejected, but in new Jerusalem which is heavenly.
