  Where is Charles Sinutko now?

  does anyone have any news about charles sinutko, who give the infamous "stay alive till '75" talk?

  forty years have passed since then, so is he still alive and still with the watchtower?

  anyone heard anything?.

  i would have to say that ray franz was the biggest influence for me.. when i first got on this board, a poster by the name of james, a former bethelite and organization heavy, helped me understand a lot of the inner workings in the upper echelons of the society.. .

  and of course, farkel's common sense approach was (usually) helpful..

  Some mentioned John Ankerberg and Walter Martin.  I met John 28 years ago. I didn't agree with him because he promotes Baptistism and the trinity.   I'm still against Christendom and these Bible debates and ping pong.  I don't see how that can help someone see the truth about the truth, that just promotes arguments about scripture and drives one more towards JWs because Baptists twists scripture more.

  i know there are some here that are going through some tough times.

  some of you do not believe in god.

  some are not sure.. i was told recently by a friend to pray to god for help and he would comfort me.. my first impulse is to pray.

  i was just thinking back to the first time i found this awesome forum...years before i eveni joined up and starting posting myself.. i was so encouraged and happy to see that i was not alone!

  i was not the only one who was observing the org, and all of its aspects and thinking "seriously?

  My first thoughts were:  You all are a bunch of stinkin apostates who don't know anything.  I thought the organization was good.

   

  Now looking back since I've come to see how the organization is, I was the one who didn't know anything.  Wish I had left sooner.   I see so many said that they left in 1995 (1995 is the new 1975) over the generation change.  I wish I did.  I wish the internet was as developed back then

  jehovah's witnesses claim no one is disfellowshipped for pursuing higher education.

  somehow it seems there must be some halfwit sorry excuse for an elder somewhere who personally felt threatened by over educated young whippersnappers and decided to mark every nerd he could point his sweaty little finger with.

  The question is:  How do they know you are going to university?  Since they are advocating trade schools.  Why aren't others in the congregation told that you are going to an "approved trade school"?

  If everyone listed JWs, they would have known that none of those kids went to heaven and met with Jesus or angels.  That is something that JWs have right.

  Boyfriend and dating news - Any advice

  so i started dating on the internet in june and have met some nice guys.

  i have put in a few recent posts that i have a boyfriend and wanted to give an update.

  things haven't worked out sadly.. i was seeing him for a couple of months we were having fun and then things tailed off after christmas.

  after many years i just rewatched the prequel trilogy.. the gb just took power upon themselves by creating their own crisis and blame it on the devil or the world; like palpatine/sidious created the conflict that elevated his power.

  then the gb elevated themselves by stating that they were the fds, like palpatine elevated himself to emperor.

  if anyone disagrees, they are called treasonous and eliminated.. palaptine's manipulation is just like what the gb does.. they play to people's emotions in their efforts to overcome death and defeat death.

  Join us or you will lose your chance to defeat death.  Then once they join, they've committed and can't go back.   Still no fulfillment of the promise.

  Just lies, twisted truths and manipulation.

   Allies that are no longer useful are just cast off.  Everyone is a pawn.

  While that is strictly true, the fact is that they df people for many other things than the Bible's moral code - as if it even had one.  Some day I will write up my story and post it here.
