WT!! We still haven't had the chance to combine our evil powers....

i have met so many great folks in the chat room, and read many wonderful post.
its sad that because these people have decided to think for their selves, they have been labeled evil.
people who once called us friends, said they would give their lives for us, now will not even make eye contact with us.
WT!! We still haven't had the chance to combine our evil powers....

c. when the pain of being where we are, becomes greater than our fear of letting go...we will risk and heal and grow.

However, by the beginning of the second century C.E., apostacy was creeping into the Christian congregation.
Then we jump all the way to the end of the 19th century when Russell suddenly recognizes the need for missionary activity. I really appreciate the fact that his version of religion didn't get tainted with apostacy all those centuries. LOL

i posted recently about how i attended a humanist funeral for my pal knocker john.
no prayers, no hymns, just a natural goodbye that, in itself, contained a healing element that somewhat counteracted our feelings of grief.. then i think back to the funeral of my dad in the 80s.
it was, quite simply, nothing more than a commercial for the witness religion.
Such a bad memory! My grandfather's funeral was overshadowed by a TALk given by an elder/neighbor. The funny thing is there was no truth behind his little talk of the hope of resurrection for my grandfather. In the back of his mind he had to be thinking, "I know this man who left the congregation because we counseled him on his clothing, smoked like a smokestack, and hadn't been to a Kingdom Hall in 20+ years is not going to be remembered by God, but I mind as well get a plug in for Jehovah...".....To think of the shit he went through in WW2 as a conscientous objector...he refused to kill, and drove ambulances instead. he comes home after picking up body parts to resume his JW life and they fuck with him about some article of clothing. He told em to stuff it! Well, all of that was running through my mind as paradise blah blah Jevovah blah blah blah...I left and had a smoke......the whole concept of having to attend the Hall for my long list of JW relatives is insane, so I feel ya there!

what if you were god?
what changes would you make on this beautiful planet you created?
or to put it another way, if you could speak directly to god what would you ask god to change here on the earth and how would you answer the following questions if he asked you?
What would you change?
Beer would be free.
How would you change it?
Beer pipelines to every home, village, hovel, palace, teepee, flat, wigwam, igloo, hut, cardboard box, lean to, tent, condo, ghetto, etc...
To what extent would you change it?
To the extent the virus we call earthlings began worshipping me again.
Would your change apply to everyone no matter who they were?
Except JWs...they have to remain chaste at all times....great for cosmic jokes.
Would your change be irrevocable?
Duh...
Would your change limit self-rule or self-determination?
No way those of the "Leaving Las Vegas" Class would just leave a lot faster.
Would everyone like your change?
No, probably not the wickedly fanatical whisky drinking Apostates.
Would people work to make your change available and equitable to all?
There might be a lot more temples on tap.
Would the change advance mankind's maturity?
Only every other day.
Lastly, would the change produce a less violent and a more economically balanced world?
Uh yeah, think of how much money people would have if they didn't have to spend it on beer!
