I dunno bboy,
But for the part where he says they never said they were prophets, I'd send him this:
or how about this one
i recieved the following emails, anyone wanna help write a response?
i always write responses i just wanna see some other ways you guys respond to these typical jw inquries.. i have three questions for you!
1- it seems to me by your comments that you are destroying the jw name why?
I dunno bboy,

well, i did it.. it's official and i'm relieved.. the elders wanted to try talking to me once again, but after awhile it was obvious that they were only interested in changing my thoughts not answering any questions.
so, i just calmly asked if i could disassociate myself.
they acted stunned and they got tears in their eyes, but i told them that i had already grieved and was ready to move on with life.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry for all the pain, but I'm sure things will only get better !!!

oops.. Looks like concerned fiancee was able to post here afterall..
That is really interesting Fiancee...
Too bad the WTBTS didn't think of making the same phone call you did in 1991, when they wanted access to the UN library..
Oops, sorry, that cannot be it either, as they said in their letter that they had access before 1991..
Hmm, now I'm really puzzled.. I wonder what they could have been thinking
on shunning.. the watchtower basically points to two reasons to shun people:.
1) it will make the wrongdoer think about their course of life and help them to come back to "the truth".. 2) it will protect your faith in jehovah and will keep you from being stumbled.. i think there are really 2 other reasons.. 1) fear of being shunned themselves for associating with you.. 2) to punish you for not thinking or being like them anymore.
kind of a revenge thing.
Hi Waiting,
I understand that the Amish do practice very strict shunning..
Do you know what bible scripture(s) actually state to shun????
I am not aware of ANY bible scripture(s) that state to shun.. I believe it to be unbiblical..
If you know of biblical proof, I'd love to see it..
THank,

"wannahelp, you seem like a kind and careing person, that is nice. Still the fact remains if a dog go`s rabid on you, you`d best watch your ass!Even if that dog was your friend it no longer is now.The same go`s with people.Remember the good times and be aware of the present OR your gonna get bit. There are alot of nice people on this board, and I think your one of them...OUTLAW"
Thanks for the kind words, and I enjoy your company as well on this board..
I agree with you in the above case, if a DOG goes 'bad' to the point of being afraid for your personal safety, then yes, at that point action must be taken to protect yourself and the rest of your family etc...
That being said, however, I've not known a JW yet that I was afraid of... As soon as any individual gives me reason to believe that he/she is INTENT on causing me physical harm, I will certainly take steps to alleviate the situation....
I happen to believe in unconditional love, and even if the above scenario happened, I would still love my friend, even if he 'intended' physical harm. The love doesn't stop just because they stop reciprocating it!!! I pray for him every night that he is happy and healthy!!! I also continually go out of my way to let him know I am still here.. Only if and when he tells me to stop will I stop doing that, unless of course, he becomes physically threatening to me.. (Which I don't think will happen)...

I think they would have been better off with a letter stating,
"Jehovah told us to do it, we do not understand why, but who are we to questions the master" <hehehehehe>...

ROFL@DINO..
Of course, that also means I'm crying for all the deceived JW's worldwide!!!!
But, remember they are lieing, and a liar will always be exposed!!! So, I think we are on the right track..!!!!
my dub sister planned this little event to see the lion king.
she invited my two other sisters and their families and purposely left me out.
when my family asked about me, she just shrugged her shoulders -- the little hypocrite couldn't "stumble" them by telling them she was shunning her own sister.

"Love Jehovah's Witnesses. It drives 'em crazy."
Yep, it sure does.. I wonder if that's because they start to see 'real Christian love' and when they look at their own illusion of love, they begin to realize something isn't quite right?
