he simply wanted to stay with the JW Organization by bcj2012
So (in under 8 million words), in comes down to: men like teams?
and organizations? and power structures? and politics, and political
parties? and governing and controlling others ? Who knew.
Ray Franz was just a man, and his deepest regret was not having had
a simple normal life and the fact he never had children. May be he
was no saint. Who among us is ? Are you? He did help thousands of
people, whether that was his intent or not. He wrote in such a way
I could hear him, and so could hundreds of thousands who escaped
this "organization". This "organization" that is worshipped even
by the men here on this forum. Its their "home team" their
Political Party, their flag, their "nation" as you put it.
Its brand loyalty. Its not worship of God or "seeking truth" its
all those other things, like joining the Army, or cheering
for your favorite football team, its what guys do.
The "organization" the very word sends a thrill up the backs
of these elders, the "Governing Body" is mentioned and they
go down on one knee, the "faithful and discreet
slave" and they are taking off their hats and bowing their heads.
"The Society" as if they "belong", and are part of something big,
something important. They are "Heiling" and "goose-stepping" to
whatever tune the Frurer, Watchtower Plays. Ray Franz did have
courage, and integrity and he saw the enemy and it was us,
the collective, the blind leading the blind.
