  well im 22 years old raised as a jw for the beteer (or worse) ,part of my life, i was on the beverly hills cong.

  in dallas until 89, then my parents moved 2 farmers branch, we were then in the walnut hill and farmers branch congergations.

  i was in the ministry school from the time i was 8 untill 16, i was never baptised.

  WELCOME------i havn't been posting long myself but have found it to be very helpful and validating here. i walked out back in '97 and i definitely needed HELP--which i got from a local support group for xcult members of various groups as well as therapy along with some rx meds to help me through. it's been quite a rollercoaster ride-one which i didn't think i'd survive-but it's worth it!!!!!

  wow joanna, that must have been so hard for you to see her in such pain and unhappiness. sounds like she really needs a TRUE FRIEND and that you're her only normal and realistic reference point. she's going to need alot of reminders, and you speaking up only validates what she sees and is experiencing. it may take a little time and alot of patience, but it will be worth it.

  ps. a quick experience of mine was when i was in a df'd state and very depressed, drinking and suicidal. out of desperateness i called one of the "friends" and they would not speak to me. i decided to call a sister who was considered very weak in the truth and she jumped to my rescue that night. twice previous i had tried to od on rx pills, and i never forgot that how she helped me out that night. i thought "thank god for the weak and worldly people or i might be dead".

  Strange comment after shooting

  i was listening to the news this morning and they were reporting on a double shooting that had just happened at a pharmacy.

  details about the shooting weren't available as it had just happened but the reporter detailed what he was witnessing as the emts removed two badly wounded victims from the pharmacy.. about ten minutes later he came back on the radio and gave an update, including comments from a pharmacy employee who was due in at nine am (the shooting must have taken place around 8:30 or so).. .

  reporter: did you find what happened here surprising?.

  hi detective,

  i live south of boston. does your xjw friend post here too? i think you mentioned earlier how people leave but it seems they don't "leave" in their minds. it's so sad. just because someone isn't active or even if they're df'd they can still be controlled by the jw's. i've seen it too and find it most disturbing. when i left i wanted to educate myself about the jw's and i wanted their F@#'d up beliefs gone from my mind as if i had wanted to rid dog shit from my shoe.

  he use to go to the hyde park ma congregation and then moved to fla.. also looking for kathy landry, she use to go to the natick ma congregation.

  i went to revere, ma congregation for a few years. i used to know kelly and doug keeler who also went to hingham--they moved there from martha's vineyard. i was very close to kelly. the last time i saw her was in '93 when she was having marital problems. i heard they later divorced and she remarried and moved back to california. any truth to this? i wonder how she is doing. have you heard? i left the borg. back in '97. kelly is one of those people that i hope left also. i wonder if we know eachother.

  it's an incredible up front and personal account of what really takes place with the "grand poobas". it took out the wind behind the sail of the governing body and the organization for me. NO MORE MYSTERY---JUST COMPLETE BS FROM THE WTS.
