Time #1 - Aww That Hurts! (Silently to myself, of course)
Time#2 - Man, This is Good S&*T! Hurry Up - I want to go again!
anyone have any funny virgin honeymoon stories?
none here- but my brother & his wife- both good witnesses got married- didn't get to complete the act for 6 weeks- his wife had no idea he was so big- and kept crying & was afraid.
just another "well educated" witness girl.

if you had the power, and ability to change one thing in your life, be it a major life changing thing, or a small but significant thing, tell me what and how you would do it, and how it actually was, and how it would be different after the change.
please don't include jw'ism as that's something we would all want to change
if you tell me yours, i'll tell you mine
I would have fought like hell to go to college - but I'm sure my parents would have fought like hell for me not to go.
anyone on here have a "most embarrasing witness moment" from childhood?
mine is from 7th grade- that was 20 years ago- but i still cringe when i think of it.
almost too hard to write down- but maybe it will be therapeutic & part of the healing process?
My whole childhood as a Witness was embarrasing. Throughout high school my mother was convinced (since she gave birth to me at the age of 15) that I was not going to be attractive to boys and make the same mistake. So (I had very bad vision) I was to wear the worst coke-bottle glasses, never and make-up and always homemade feed sack dresses for those formal occaisions! Uggggggh!
did anyone else have witness parents who the congregation thought were the "model" family, yet behind closed doors all hell broke loose?
i remember a time when my family was choosen to do a part at an assembly about the ideal family- yet behind the scenes, we were beat, yelled at, sworn at, never studied, had a family from hell, yet others always commented how "perfect" and christian our family was.
being a witness leaves deep & permanent scars.
I remember once my father severely beat me while on a picnic with another Witness family. While I sobbed quietly the other Witness mother told her children not to "judge" my father. I'll never forget that as long as I live.
my daughter was in the backseat.
i was completely stopped-due to oncomming traffic.
i was going to turn left.
Three years ago on July 3rd I was in the exact same accident (rear ended while stopped at a traffic light). I ended up with two calcified discs (one between C4 and C5 in the neck and the other in the lower back). Get all the medical care you feel you need and get a lawyer! Even though the car insurance is supposed to cover a mulitiude of medical bills they can really start to give you a hard time once the bills mount up. The lawyer can throw some weight their ways, plus you may actually need some settlement money to cover all your expenses.

I wish you all the best - it's rough everywhere this year. I'm in the wire and cable industry so my company's in the toilet too.
ok. i am thinking of trying this to maybe get my family to start questioning things.. here's what i want to do.
i want to get one of the ray franz books and casually leave it available for them to pick up.
my mother is not that bright to where she may think its something my dad brought home and open it up.
One time my mother came in the house and saw C of C on the kitchen island. She turned bright red and basically tried to get out of the house as quickly as possible. They know that book shouldn't even be touched...lest the demons leap out of it..
i think it's time bethel got a new sign out front, one that really speaks volumes and is far more suitable to their "read god's word the bible daily.
