Have you ever saved a life?
by Crystal inwhen i was about 11 years old me and my two(not so bright)sisters were at a hotel swimming pool.i was sitting by the pool watching my one sister(we will call her k) that could barely swim herself teach my other sister who was terrified of water(we will call her b) how to swim.they started out in shallow end swimming underwater when b went off course and ended up in the deep end.when she came up she started panicing and k went over to help her.
b grabed on to k pushing her under water and then k paniced and pushed b under trying to stay above water.they did this cute little routine for a while (up pops k down goes k up pops b down goes b)if it was'nt so life threatening it would of been hilarious.
(i did start laughing...at first)then it got to the point where i knew i had to do something because they were getting ready to drown...they were swallowing tons of water and there was no time to get help.

We were on vacation a few years ago and a friend of the family, who knew not how to swim, dove into the deep end of the pool. Needless to say, she sank immediately and could not come to the surface. I jumped in and got her out.

Robert and Russell
by TheOldHippie ini just found the use of names a bit "strange / interesting" in the dec. 1, 2002 wt article on page 8, which back - translated is "at the captain's table".
it tells about the meeting between captain robert g. smith of the white star line, and charles taze russell.
why "robert and russell"?.

Mackin,
It might seem that this the case. But the captain of the Titanic when she struck an iceberg and sank was Edward John Smith.
FYI

Describe Your "STATUS" In The Congreg...
by minimus inif you were to describe what your status was in the congregation, what would it be?
were you viewed as mature?
in "good standing", a pain in the rear?

I am inactive since two years and occasionally go to the meetings on Sunday. I am viewed as spiritually weak because of this and also am marginalized by members of the BOrg.

What Was The 1st Thing That Made You Question?
by minimus inas a youngster raised in the "truth", i had my questions.
but anytime you ask a question that is unanswerable, you are told to just wait on jehovah.
as time passes, i believe that we store up a number of unanswerable questions that forces one to eventually think about everything.

I've always had nagging doubts in the back of my mind. But the proverbial straw that broke the camels back was when I got internet service and started surfing the web to find what apostates where saying about the WTS.
