Are Jehovah's Witnesses REALLY Welcomed Here?

in view of the fact that there are mostly ex-witnesses on this forum, the question is," are jw's truly welcomed here?".

it seems to me that if a poster supports the witnesses in any way, that they will know about it.

Sure jw's are welcome here. With limits in discussing religious matters, I won't. There are plenty of others who are available to discuss the issues on this site.

I am here to be with others how they move on in healing and living life.

DID Your Parents take action when The Society Failed to do so?

to any child who is an abuse survivor:.

at some point, your abuser was made known to the elders in your local jw congregation but .

the "elders" did nothing to report the matter to local authorities.

I as a parent took action report sexual abuse regarding my 2 daughters ( 5 yr old and a 10 yr old.) I reported to child protection. Police pressed charges and the county attorney took their father and stepsons to court.

I reported after the fact to one of the elders. I was pushed out from dealing with domestic abuse before hand. I knew they would not be supportive dealing with sexual abuse.

I thank whoever I did'nt have deal with their ignorance on dealing with this issue.

how to handle this situation: as of june i have stopped going to the meetings.

i do have one sister that tells me i should keep on my schedule of meetings....she currently thinks i am not going to the meetings because i am new here and my husband works out of town a lot and i already remarked that i didn't want to go without him.

i have also told her i have been going thru a depression, with this move, major move #13 and being new here.. well, today, she dropped of 2 watchtowers for this sunday.

It's hard setting limits in taking care of ourselves. For most of us we were'nt taught about boundaries and what is our comfort level. I had to set the boundaries for my family that I was not going discuss jw's. Stated what "I Feel" stressed and not a place to discuss right now. The key for me is being direct what I want or need. And sometimes it had to reinforced many times.

When we make changes in our lives it effects those around us. And upsets the the family dynamics and those who we are close around us. Even when its not on a conscious level.

You don't owe them a answer right now.

I'm Back and I've MISSED Yall SO MUCH !!!!

my computer was "hi-jacked" by zone labs/zone alarm approx.

3 weeks ago and with my crazy work schedule and everything, i couldn't get over to new caney to my son-in-law to get it fixed till today......i thought it would hafta be "gutted" and rebuilt, cause that zone bugger was hidden and lurking somewhere quietly just waiting for me to get online so it could prevent me from actually doing anything or accessing any websites......but my sil is a computer genius....it's kinda like havin' a doctor in the family...... anyway...just wanna let yall know my schedule has changed to 12 hr days 4 days a week, so i'll only be online 3 days a week till that changes....and my 4/12's start tomorrow....of course that's subject to change after next tuesday.....i don't know why i don't have an ulcer from all this craziness...prolly do have one..... annnnnnnnnnnd....lawhamercy, i missed yall somethin' awful!!!!!.
