my jw husband came home from his meeting yesterday a little later than usual, and when i asked him where he had been, he said he had to meet with the elders after the meeting.
well, it seems that even though he is reinstated, he has to ask for each of his"privileges" back one at a time.

how many horror stories have we all heard about brothers at the hall who decide to go in to business together, only to have it end up in disaster?
my brother-in-law, bill did this with a reeeeeal good christian brother i'll call max, a couple of years ago.
my brother-in-law works in construction, and does the actual work.
Get this. I knew a sister (had inactive husband) that got this nice young girl at the KH who was a publisher to watch her 3 kids while she worked one summer.
She was supposed to pay her X amount per day and it soon started adding up. She would pay $20 here and there. When the babysitter said she needed to be paid the full amount or she could not watch them anymore the sister would make her feel guilty and would give her a hard time. The girls mother was no help and said that she should be more patient.
When the babysitting bill got to be $400+ the girl quit watching them all together and demanded to be paid and the bitch refused. She used the excuse that she did not give her proper notice and she had to quit her job and could not afford it.
The babysitter had a non jw father who was furious with what went down so he filed a lawsuit on her behalf in small claims court. Before it went to court the sister was able to cough up the money and the father insisted that she also pay the filing fees which she did. It caused A LOT of embarrassment for the sister and she was publically reproved.
The elders did not do anything to the publisher and she was not marked. I think they were worried what her father might do and did not want to piss him off. Sadly that nice young girl is still in the troof.

The only reality TV show I watch on a regular basis is Fear Factor. I cannot stand Big Brother. A new installment will be airing next month.
There is a show called Miracles that absolutely sucks. I would not be surprised if it has been canceled. There is a show on ABC called My wife and kids. That show is soooo boring. I don't like David Letterman. Like he can compete with Jay Leno.

well, after all was said and done, the elders allowed her back in.
my brother and his wife were giving her a little "coming back" party with about a total of 35 guests.
I've been to a DF'd party before. I bet it was way more fun than any reinstatement party.
