Need to help my Mother
by LostinSpace inim sure you have all heard the same sort of story day in day out on these forums'...but i need help.. my mother has been a jw for over 20 years now.
during my childhood i was taken to kh every week (my father wasn't/isn't a jw and was always working away).
during my school years i was "mentaly" abused by other children because of my mothers beleifs.

The biggest advantage you have is the fact that unconditional love is MUCH stronger than conditional love. Do everything with pure love and you will win. Your patience will be tested but you should never argue...they are well trained for that. You should be familiar with their doctrines and their favorite 'supporting' scriptures, but that is not the place to start. She has to have her own reasons to question their interpretations and authority and that will take time, probably LOTS of time. Don't ever give up, you really do have the truth on your side. Make sure you understand not so much what she believes, but why she believes it. Help her draw the line between the WTS and God Himself.
I am also one of those who is thankful to have the friends here to help, and am also trying to help someone 'out'.

I really think you should rid yourself responsibly. Don't let that propaganda get into unsuspecting hands. I agree with some of the other posters, donate it to someone out there actively trying to combat the WT. Don't give it a chance to mislead anybody, even the garbage man or workers at the landfill. At the very least, enjoy a nice WT bonfire...pictures would be great!

Michelle my ex wife leaves the witnesses
by barry inive just finished talkin on the phone to michelle my ex wife she has decided she has had enough.
she has told them they all suffer from anxiety and paranoia because of the literature.
thursday night is actualy her last night and michelle has written a letter saying she is very upset about the current literature because of its manipulative nature.. michelle is not one for letting the grass grow underfoot and has already made contacts with christian life ministries a charismatic group for her new spiritual home.

my wife & i have some days ago talked to our maid, she had been studying the bible with a pioneer for almost a year & was beeing pressured into baptism.
we informed her all about the wt-un scandal & other things... she has just cancelled her study.

It feels good for all of us to hear such a story of someone figuring it out before they aren't allowed to figure anymore. I'm very happy that you were able to show your maid enough and in time. I doubt the pressure will stop unless she does something more than ask them not to try anymore. Your maid should continue to learn about WT history and manipulation so she is more prepared to deflect their tactics. They all hate apostate information, get her a book, encourage her to read it, and have it handy the next time they come by.

It's obvious that it's not lightening you're worried about, it's your conscience, which is worse because it lasts longer. You know as well as I do that lying isn't right. You're tired and physically spent, which makes you all the more mentally taxed. You deserve a break, and I'm sure if you ask, you will be forgiven by all concerned for your dishonesty...from God on down right to yourself.

Yes, the end will come. The Bible cannot be more specific though that no one knows when. Many men have gotten WAY to much attention by speculating when, presenting 'evidence', 'scripturally' supporting their theories, etc. The WT not being the only ones to try. All of us, even collectively, cannot fully understand how it started much less how it will end. When the apostles asks Jesus how they would know, the first thing he told them is 'do not be deceived.' Therefore it is my belief that we are all to live according to the Bible's teachings as if today could be it...always ready while doing our best.
