by Gig inwell friends, it seems to be over.
some of you may remember i fell in love with a jw (before i had any idea of what i was getting into).
it's been almost two years ago and i tried every way i could think of to see what she sees, historically, doctrinally, evangelistically, liguistically, every way but realistically.

by Gig inhow about a little friendly competition?
who can offer the best example of perfect irony?
for example, the wt teaches that we should regard the wt mag just as we would the word of god yet they also teach that they never claimed to be infallible and that you should have checked for yourself, all your fault for the mistake.

At the top
by Gig indo you believe that the gb members, and the wt writers are consciously aware of their dishonesty and deceit?
i really can't imagine, after reading so many of their articles and books, that the manipulation is by chance.
it's one thing to really believe what you are writing will help people and try to maintain authority when doing so, but i've found too many examples of outright verbal abuse.

by Gig ini believe all of you will be happy to hear that a jw friend of mine is finally willing to listen to me.
i have slowly but surely been breaking off little tid-bits of info about why i can't see the one true religion thing happening with the wts.
i have resisted the tremendous urge to "let 'em have it" and patience is prevailing.

the society which scorns excellence in plumbing because plumbing is a humble activity and tolerates shoddiness in philosophy because it is an exalted activity will have neither good plumbing nor good philosophy.

i posted a few weeks back and mentioned a recent wt article that implied russell's writings were somehow beneficial.
i thought the irony was worth sharing.. the watchtower, april 15, 2002, page 28.... "as observed in 1925 by remigio cuminetti, banchetti showed 'much sympathy' for the work of the bible students and was 'fully convinced' of the doctrines as explained by them.. on one occasion, banchetti was discussing russell's writings with a man named j.campbell wall.

I'm in love with a witness
by Gig ini'm new to this forum and have been reading all these topics and posts and kind of getting to know some of you.
i've always purposely avoided anti-witness or ex-witness opinion before but i'm tired and am looking for an end to it all.
like it says, i am very much in love with a witness, and she is very much in love with me.

Some truth for all...

i've attended enough meetings to know that the jw's consistently are building themselves up instead of their beloved jehovah.
talk about idols of the heart, but sadly, they can't see it.. the truth is they use the bible to try to support their teachings, when everyone in their right mind uses their teachings to support the bible.. gig

Is the basis for the "true religion" ...
by Gig ini am not and have never been a jw.
however, i have spent the last two years meeting with them and studying with them.
not to worry, from practically my first day of research (independent thinking) i discovered what i am convinced is a very clear example of false religion.
