  i find the conversations here rather interesting and the members nice people to say the least.

  but i can't help thinking that if i was to spend as much time here as the revered posters evidently do wouldn't i be in breach of that wonderful axiom.

  one thing that is categorically true of associations, clubs, congregation and is particularly true of jw's and ex -jw's is that their constituents, members, followers have common traits.

  i just read luckylucy's thread and wanted to tell my story.

  i also want to ask a question: why are women who have children viewed more favorably than women who don't?

  especially if the choice is to not have children.

  a friend of mine recommended i peruse this forum because he is of the impression i would find it rewarding.

  the basis of his recommendation was due to a very long friendship and not due to any association (that i do not have) with jehovahs witnesses.

  he considers me his superior in intellect and wants an appraisal of this sight but to be honest i have neither the incliniation nor the time to get in deep enough to comment.

  if the local congregations have no money to pay their own bills and the numbers of witnesses continue to drop off, how will the society last?

  we've heard about down sizing and layoffs.

  we've seen congregations merge because the bills aren't getting paid.
