That's a personal choice that everyone has. Some are still going to meetings and don't want to be identified. Some are thinking of maybe returning one day, and don't want trouble. In my case, I even put down my password. I trust everyone.

No personal information in profiles
by happyout inwhen i put my profile together, i did not include my name or information because i still have family in the borg, and don't wish to be identified.
i was curious about others, though, and started looking at a lot of profiles.
i noticed many, if not most, of the members have elected to leave off most personal identifying information.

Do the loving elders hate you?
by JH indo you have the impression that the elders never liked you, and were happy to see you leave, because they simply didn't like your way of thinking?
maybe if you came back, they would do everything to get you disfellowshipped again.

Former JW celebrating XMAS R so Happy
by JT ini could not look at all the photos of former jw and thier kids celebrating xmas and i couldn't help but think how happy they looked , mom, dad, the kids, just enjoying having a day off and being together-.
fast forward to 10am across the country in hall after hall a group of folks going out in service, unhappy, sad, and frustrated- kids damn sure don't want to be there as they knock on thier classmates doors dressed up like little salemen selling bible books -.
it is cold and windy and here they are letting the heat out of folks homes how crazy we must have looked walking around in the snow without any snowsledge or snowboard.

unhappy, sad, and frustrated- kids
Not only the kids are frustrated and unhappy, but most of the herd. Most people don't even answer the doors anymore. I guess they do answer when children knock on the doors. There is an age for everything, and the children shouldn't be doing the adult's job of teaching the bible. Children shouldn't be salesmen selling books for a publishing company. Witnesses never look happy when they are in the field service, because most of them hate it. If they are preaching the "Good News of the Kingdom", shouldn't they be happy?

When a person is disfellowshipped, no one in the congregation can talk to him. Why is it that in certain circumstances that an elder can talk to a disfellowshipped person? Is there a place in the bible where it says that some can talk to DF'd people and others can't?

Investigating the Society
by Blueblades inin my research i came across this topic "investigating the society"which asked six questions, before you joined the society.
i answered no to all of them.i'm interested in what your answers are if you care to express them.i posted my answers below.. question #1:how did you investigate the watchtower society before you joined it?did you read books both for and against the society to help you judge it accurately?no!.
question #2:had you read the bible in its entirety?no!.

Usually a person doesn't have to check all of these questions, because if he makes an error, then all he has to do is get out of that organization. But with the watchtower it's different, because you can't get out without scars.

Can You Discern What The Society Is Really Saying?
by minimus inso much of the watchtower is written in "code".
so much of the circuit and district overseers comments are spoken in "code".
for example, you are not told directly that you shouldn't read any other publication but the society's, but you are asked, "how could anyone spiritual ever have the time to keep up with their bible-based reading of all the spiritual food that we must take in, and still have time to read "worldly" books?

Often they will say, "A true christian would not do this". In other words, not every christian is a true christian.

DubSticks
by Farkel in.....or why they won't let me play at the kingdom halls anymore.
sorry to wreck everyone's lovely christmas eve, but it's time for some brutal torture!
if nothing else, "dubsticks" illustrates how a perfectly normal and often happy person is going along in life minding his or her own business, and then dubs enter into that life and change everything.

Does your kid believe in Santa Claus?
by JH inof course witnesses don't teach santa to their children, for obvious reasons.
do you see anything wrong in telling your young child that santa exists?
for those who want to follow santa, go to this site, but you will need real 1 player.. http://www.noradsanta.org/
