Possibly a great question to ask JW's since this last week's WT.
by Crazyguy inso since the type anti-type doctrine has been dropped 'does this mean peter was right when at luke 12 :41 he said the faithful and discreet slave was just a parable?

Watch out! The lactose intolerance policy May be coming
by FatherFirst inwhen i was a teen i had back surgery that could have easily gone bad because of the no blood policy, so it's always been of particular intrest to me.
i was just thinking to myself, not only do human mothers have white blood cells in their breast milk but so does nearly every other mammal on our planet.
so that would mean for one, god "intelligently designed" us, and every other mammal to literally feed on our mothers blood in the beginning of life for sustenance, only to make the use of blood sinful when it comes to saving not just sustaining our life later on.

Specific Comments By R&F About May Broadcast
by freemindfade ini know there are many posts discussing the may money requesting televangalism...er... broadcast i mean!
but i wanted to start one where anyone can put what they have heard any non-exjw, non-apostate witnesses say good or bad about the broadcast.
i don't see how it can't rattle followers... but then again i might be surprised how they can twist things (2+2=5).

Wow Driving force, if my wife was doing that to me I would let her have it with guns blazing. I would wait till she went into a room and I would go in behind her block the door and use the Bible to show her that were not supposed to judge, exalt ourselves, or shun people. We're supposed to have love, love before faith even. I would make sure I got the point across that she is not a follower of Christ therefore not a follower of God. If she didn't change her attitude I would kick her out.
She may change her tune after this. My wife threatened no sex and the spiritual indangerment card but when those threats didn't work she backed down. It's hard for them when you don't go off the rails and start doing drugs or something like the way the borg says will happen with all who leave Jehovah.

It sucks but go out slow and plant seeds to wake the wife. This last week's WT is a great opportunity. You could say something to your wife like 'man all the changes really shows that thier just making this stuff up as they go' or 'I have noticed that everytime a few of the older gbs die off it seams like the new ones change a lot of the previous doctrine'. Remember it getting your wife out that's the most important. -

Explanation Of New Bible Translation
by Sofia Lose ini have been a little troubled with the explanation on the new world translation given during sunday's meeting.
the mag read that with less words the understanding would be more clear, and offered examples where certain texts had 27 words and now only have 19 words and the meaning is clearer.
i am not okay with said explanation.

This religion is going the way of the Catholic Church. They have the same levels of leadership, they state that if you do not follow and do as the GB say you will die. Catholics are taught if you do not do as the Pope says your going to hell. So like them too the religion is becoming less and less about the Bible and Bible doctrine, because this gets in the way of doing just what the GB want. The Catholics have done this for 1700 years so why not do the same. -

Driving Force, My wife got really depressed to the point where I had to take her to the hospital to make sure she was Ok. I later found a text on her phone from a day or so before about them getting together and including my only baptized child. The text didn't say much other then that, so I assuming they may have told her if she wanted to leave me she could. I since have not brought up anything to her about the cult or its practices. My plans have changed to strictly trying to wake as many of my children as possible. This will be a slow go but planting one seed at a time. -

The work is speeding up
by bradford ini don't have a great reference point on my observation other than my local area but i was wondering if this was a widespread thing.
... in the last two years in my former congregation there have been 6 people to disassociate for "apostasy," 6 disfellowshipped for various reasons, and numerous ones reproved.
these are just the ones i have heard about.

Selling off most of thier big properties, stealing KHs from the congregations, begging for money and incouraging babies to get baptised. Cutting back on paying for missionary work and having Gilead school grads assigned to cities in the USA. Not to mention the continued consolidation of congregations around the world as they sell off KHs. All this happening with in the last decade is a huge sign that they are loosing the ability to keep or attract paying members. Also as I mentioned since they no longer pushing the missionary work or at least will to pay for it, this tells me they don't care to recruit members from third world countries because there no profit in doing so. And if any new member here doubts the Borg only cares about profit then you should look at the posts concerning what happened in Mexicoconcerning thier r property rights.
