  I used to think evolution was crap even said so on this forum with y reasons why. I know believe, once your mind is open just watching a show on national geographic its painfully obvious.

  i am inclined to start this thread in response to some comments made in other threads.

  i have been coming around these forum for quite some time now so whatever you find in here is not just related to something someone may have said this week.

  it can go months back as well.. i have seen many who claim to respect the belief of others but when it comes down to applying it into practice, things take a whole different tune.

  I'm totally will to respect the beliefs of someone else as long as that belief is harmless meaning it will not potentially hurt others or even the one who believes. Once it's clear the beliefs is dangerous not just physically but potentially damaging the quality of someones life, then that's where I draw the line!

  slimboyfat7 years ago besides, if the wts went non-print, what the heck would all the dubs push from door to door?single leaf tracts, like is becoming the trend.. booby7 years agothey are already making it clear that their are costs incurred at their download site, so they will still convince the dubs to provide an income stream even without the printed version.

  Yep in the short time I have been on this forum I have seen them the Borg respond to criticism of them here by changing their tactic on one particular subject. I'm conviced they lurk here so see what thier enemies are saying.

  rutherford's eyes it was not distinctive enough from a marketing point of view, (having restructured "the business" after its severe contraction in the 20s due to his failed 'vision') so he came up with a name which featured the creator's distinctive name, "jehovah's witnesses" - a business strategy employed in those days by kellog and many others.. we now describe them as 'designer names'.. here are the scriptural proofs, but of course, they may count for nothing in some people's eyes because the "glorious ones" in brooklyn say differently!

  Its interesting they like to quote Rev.1:5 where it say that Jesus is a witness for his father but then they completely ignore the end of the verse where it states that he Jesus is ruler over the kings of the world. Wait I thought he didn't start rulling until 1914.

  a number of years ago when i was still active, our service group was having a coffee break with the visiting circuit overseer.

  during the conversation he mentioned that the "society" was now being run like a business.

  being raised in the "truth" i thought that rather odd (and my eyes began to be opened!

  People in this organization are just plain poor. Especially all the new ones that have come in from Latin America and Africa where most of the growth has been over the last 20 years. The financial crash of 2008 made it painfully obvious that the Borg wasn't getting as many donations as they hoped. Maybe before 2008 they we're able to prop up themselves with investments but those profits went away.

  I remember back in 08 working in an industry we're most of the profits to the companies came from their sales. They had two other departments that could and did maken them money but these we're not as profitable and or as glamorous. When the crash hit the sales end was done and these guys we're scrambling around trying to figure out how the two other departments could make them more money. With no experience outside the sales division they we're like fish out of water.

  I think the Borg leaders reacted much the same way after 2008. The money from their stock and real estate investments was gone so they started selling off first branches then new York properties to stay afloat until the economy got better. When it did they thought they could go back to business as usual thats why they made statement about so much growth and new building to go on in the future a year ago or so. But then it's like some one from accounting sat these clowns down and showed them that the investment money hasn't come back and the donation money is just a small percentage of what they used to get. This accountant maybe an outside firm then showed them that the glory days we're over religion as a whole is dieing in the western world and people do to inflation are not going to donate as much any more. So its like this accounting firm said your done now make the most of what you can in the near future and then if you want to try to squeeze more out of their dead cold hand you may be able to but don't bother investing or spending to much in any part of your religion that doesn't get you a return on investment. So no more paying missionarys ,special pioneers, etc because no ones joining from outside the borg and if they are thier to poor to make us any money. Let's down size to reduce costs as much as possible so we can continue to ride this gravy train for a few more years.

  the trnity to me means the true nature of god essence,attributes each person of the trinity is equal the father the son and the holly spirit all share the devine nature ie three persons of the godhead are all equal in power ,glory and wisdom john 10:30.jesus and his father god are one meaning of the same nature mathew 28.19 jesus said all to be baptised in the name of the father and of the son and the holly ghost reprissenting 3 persons of the godhead to wellcome the devine trinity into your soul .

  The new testament is full of ideas and teachings from the old testament. Many of these ideas we're taken from Canaanite, Babylonian and Egyptian religious practices. Baal Hadad, Marduk both battled the choas monster and so did Jehovah. The first two like other before them we're promoted for their acts to the highest God position lord of lord king of kings. This was also done with the Jesus story.

  But also in these old religions their was still reverence for the Creator Gods ,mother and father. Isis and Osiris in Egypt, El and Ashurah in Cannan and so on. Jehovah is the father god and Mary represents the mother goddess, Isis, Ashurah, Inanna. This is why the catholic church has so much reverance and worship for her. I believe the new testament writers we're trying to fit the father mother and son idea as well as the son becomes exalted all in to the new writings. Jesus the son gets exalted for dieing for our sins but also defeating death and the serpent of choas/evil and so become lord of lords God of gods. By the end of the last book of Revelations he's now the alpha and omega just like Marduk. Then their we're many I believe redactions and other changes made by the church from the early 300s AD on, so now we're left with a convoluted mess of a book called the Bible.

  COBE, of my wife's hall resigned stating stress and being over used, his daughter had also moved out and started living with her worldly boyfriend. Don't know if her doing this was part of the reason he stepped down but he also resigned as an elder too. One thing I do know is he's still as delusional as ever.
