I believe Atwill is incorrect. It's of my opinion that those that have said there's a connection with the God Serapis and the guy they now call Jesus. To many of the dots connect and the Serapis cult became very popular in the Roman Empire before and after the guy named Jesus.
So anyway Serapis was the foundation God and all the gods that were atributes to him and thier characteristics became who we now call jesus.
in their sick and twisted bubble that they live in, the jehovahs witnesses clearly have no idea about the logistical nightmare of disposing of 7.5 billion corpses.. when i heard an elder once say that it will be a joy to clear away the wicked from the earth, he actually had a smile on his face.. can they even begin to imagine what 7.5 billion dead men, women, children & babies looks like?.

how do we measure who is an authority if we don't know that much?.
The Bible says that it alone can provide all the info you need at 2 Timothy 16&17 and in the book of John I believe or James it says to ask for the Holy Spirit for wisdom.
So according to the Bible you just need to pray and read it. But make sure if you believe all the bullshit that you read the whole bible not just the Protestant one.

i would like to say i am not in and my wife is a marginal witness at best.
she doesn't say anything bad about the borg or live an amoral lifestyle.
she just doesn't read the bible, or even the tracts anymore and generally has no clue about anything biblical or doctorial related.. i found my wives new card yesterday.
I wonder if this could be braught put as a scriptural issue. The Bible says the head of the wife is the husband. The elders signing this usurpted your headship, maybe he can now pay your wife's bills or you can scripturally separate ?

spain bethel sent a letter recently last oct 3 interpreting that no elder or sm should request a certificate of sexual offenses as other churches or persons in contact with kids.
again jw.org interprets the law to their behalf.. a group of elders in madrid has sent this letter to ask clarification !!.
