Reduce your meeting attendance asap. I know it maybe hard to stop altogether especially if family finds out but you should be able to go a lot less with out to much blowback.

Really struggling to go on
by Isambard Crater inso, so much has happened in my life over the years and continues to happen, but i won't go into the details as it would take a long time.. i don't really know why, but i returned to "the truth" 15 years ago.
in 2012 when the tv broadcasting station launched, i started to develop doubts.
the australian royal commission and other scandals made me angrier, and i now don't believe most of the core teachings.. the only reason i show up at 5 or 6 meetings each month is to keep in contact with my parents and a few other family members.. but it's killing me, literally.

Seed of mind-control could be seen in the word Amen
by venus injust like naming of days of the week and months are of astrological/pagan origin, the widely used word amen too is pagan, and has contributed to mind-control.. each time we say “amen” at the end of prayer we may think that we mean only "verily" and "truly".
unfortunately, we overlook something very important.
amen, amen-ra is the "most high" egyptian solar archetype [egyptian sun god, known as amun/amin/amen ra, meaning "the hidden god" and thus, the phrase "amen" would originally mean "let it remain hidden/secret."].

i have often thought the same about this word. The Egyptians influenced the Canaanites since they ruled over this area for a long time. One can see clear evidence that the Israelites were worshiping gods from the Canaanites and Sumerians but not as much from Egypt. I believe this to be so because during the Babylonian exile the writtings that ended up in the Bible were redacted and changed to get rid of most Egyptian influences yet there can still be found some. -

A big question, why writtings or book?
by Crazyguy inwe often have debates on this site about what was written in the bible and why.
there are also debates about which bible is better .
then there's the debate about if the quran is really the better book or more accurate.

We often have debates on this site about what was written in the Bible and why. There are also debates about which Bible is better . Then there's the debate about if the Quran is really the better book or more accurate. But I think what people are missing is why a book or even any writings?
Through mankinds history only a very small percentage of humans could ever read. In the first century when Jesus was supposedly alive less then 1% of the population could read. So with that being said why would a god put his ideas and his expectations in a book? If where to be free to worship not slaves of men like a part of the Bible says then again why put it down in writing.
By putting gods words in writing does it not allow for men who can read to monipulate those that can not? So again why would god put his thoughts and wishes in a book?

Major JW mistake and where the Holy Spirit
by Crazyguy init's my understanding that the gb took out the text about the adulterous woman at mark 7:53 - 8:11, (this the all important verses where jesus says the one with out sin cast the first stone.
) sighting that it wasn't found in the oldest text.
which text are they talking about, the codex sinaiticus?

Thanks for the link Darkspilver, I forgot about this earlier thread. Looks like it's not in the Septuagint either . How many of these older bibles not have the resurrection and ascension of Jesus in the gospels?

It's my understanding that the GB took out the text about the adulterous woman at Mark 7:53 - 8:11, (This the all important verses where Jesus says the one with out sin cast the first stone. ) sighting that it wasn't found in the oldest text. Which text are they talking about, the Codex Sinaiticus? If so then why didn't they take out the parts in the gospels concerning the resurrection and assention of Jesus because that's not in the gospels either?
But wait there's evidence that this translation is a fraud, not only are there major transcribing mistakes but even the paper used looks more recent. Critics believe it was made in the 1600s . So if it was or is a fake then where is the Holy Spirit in telling the GB that they made a mistake by removing the text they removed from their bible? Oh GB the lengths you'll go to in order to be more and more like the Catholic Church. No salvation or forgiveness of sins unless you go through the organization.

Why did Jesus not use God’s name Jehovah?
by venus inno one doubts jesus extensively spoke about god’s kingdom because he said: “i must proclaim the good news of the kingdom of god to the other towns also, because that is why i was sent.” (luke 4:43) yet christian sects are divided over the subject whether jesus used god’s name or not.. it is said that god’s name jehovah was revealed to moses.
however jesus knew moses was not trustworthy.
(mathew 19:8) moses born and brought up in egypt could have been influenced by egyptian knowledge.

Venus, there are some similarities to the god Horus but so to to other sun gods. I believe the Jesus deity was more modeled after Serapis. Serapis was a Greek Egyptian hybrid god with the attributes of several Egyptian and Greek gods .
Jesus is this god and all his attributes with other gods attributes added over time. Jesus was to be the one god all peoples in the Roman Empire could worship without giving up their pagon god so to speak.

I know the guy that wrote the insight books and he was awake at the time. I think he was doing his best in writing this stuff but not going completely back over to the dark side.
