You would think these letters would really wake up the elders, the one i wrote there was no way they could not agree that i was right. They must really just turn off their brains and mail them in to the Society.

School for Congregation Elders
by C.O.B.E.Beef ini attended the school late last year, and it was an emotional and mental rollercoaster for me.
i was already divided in my heart to say the least.
one of the instructors stayed in my home for the week, and my family genuinely enjoyed his company.

The fact that the elders are told they can do no wrong as long as they do what the F&ds say scares the hell out of me. I'm thinking Jim Jones and real bad koolaid.

I recently wrote them about my research concerning the New Covenant and Mediator showing how their understanding was all wrong breaking down every one of their reasoning and topics. I was surprised when they just wrote back that their position wasn't going to change and if it did it would be published so i just needed to wait on Jehovah.

Apostate?
by EmptyInside ini was wondering if i would be considered an apostate for posting on this board.
i don't speak against the organization to any witnesses.
i do talk candidly to other inactive ones who feel the same way.

My Letter to Brooklyn about the Parousia that got me disfellowshipped
by cofty inthis is the letter i wrote back in '96 about the parousia.
following the '95 watchtower that disconnected the "generation" from 1914 i began to look carefully at end-time prophecy and soon discovered what i knew were basic errors in what i had been taught.. i was a loyal jw at the time and was still serving as an elder.
i used only watchtower publications in my research.

I think that because in mark 13 and luke 21 the question of his presence or coming was not even mentioned that its not as important as the JW and Advent religions has made it. There is plenty of scriptures that indicate that Jesus took his throne along side his father in the first century, Eph.1:20-23 comes to mind. So with that in mind the only thing that's is important his being prepared for his arrival.

Pure religion
by Crazyguy injames 1:27 says that pure religion is to look after orphans and widows in their distress.
and in luke chapter 10 jesus explains what we must do to inherit life, and he goes on and talks about the parable of the good samaritan.. i believe that helping the poor and the needy is the way jesus really wanted the good news of the kingdom to be preach.
even in acts after pentecost they sold off their belongings and gave to the poor.

James 1:27 says that pure religion is to look after orphans and widows in their distress. And In Luke chapter 10 Jesus explains what we must do to inherit life, and he goes on and talks about the parable of the good Samaritan.
I believe that helping the poor and the needy is the way Jesus really wanted the Good News of the Kingdom to be preach. Even in Acts after Pentecost they sold off their belongings and gave to the poor. What better way to spread the gospel. When people receive help with out anything wanted in return are they not interested in why? And would they not be more open to hear the reason?
Since in my understanding now, the good news is being preach by all Christians religions and we are not to Judge one another because all that believe in Christ are gods adopted sons, then how can we give or help? I'm looking for ways or ideas of how one can help the poor and needy that may not be Christan's yet so in my efforts i can spread the good news whether it be through a reputable organization or individually. Ideas please.

"Do not be called teachers"--Doesn't Jesus OUTLAW all organized religion?
by humbled injw's and other churches all set up housekeeping in different theological areas.
some one person can't believe any more what their church is saying, gets a different "take" on god, and......starts trying to convince others to follow them and everything they teach.. nothing new about that.
but why are so many of us blind to this scenario: we allow that some people get to contemplate other thoughts and others are not allowed.only some lead and everyone else must follow or be thrown out.

He came and told us to be free, just have love for one another and for his father. If we do that then nothing else would be needed. But people want to be lead or have an idea that they feel must be thrown out there so we end up with religions and cults and religious cults etc etc. So Sad.

Numbers don't lie :The End of JESUS...
by raymond frantz in(1john2:22,23)who is the liar if it is not the one that denies that jesus is the christ?
this is the antichrist, the one that denies the father and the son.
23 everyone that denies the son does not have the father either.

Anddontcallmeshirley has got a point, JWs talk about Jesus but there appreciation seems to be as him only being the one who was sacrificed, everything else including who sent him centers around Jehovah. And if you do mention the name Jesus to much, witnesses do start looking at you all funny. What a weird cult.

*Seriously* Considering A Billboard Ad?
by laverite ina full billboard ad in my area along a busy heavily travelled highway would cost about $500.
would probably get lots of attention and maybe even a news article, who knows.
$500 is cheap and easily affordable.

I think people should get together a donate funds to a website like jwfacts.com so with the funds, the site can achieve and maintain a very high ranking on the search engines like google. If every time some one does any type of research concerning JW's online the website is present it should help to kill the religion. jmo
