Messengers means angels.

1914 not Christ's Return anymore?

looking at the public dec 2013 watchtower under bible questions answered it looks like they are saying that the invisible return of christ is completely in the future.

i thought that they always said it started in 1914?

am i reading this wrong?.

Funny how not only does Jesus say 'I will be with you all the days', but also like some one else stated when he does acctually come we will all see it.Its amazing how the awake ones can truly see the bible for what it says and the rest are just blind and stupid.

my curiosity is killing me, and i don't have access to a cd rom right now, so here's my question:.

how many "hits" does "144000" get in the magazines over the past 5 years or so?.

my prediction is that mention of "the 144000" has been decreasing steadily over the past few years, as they move towards phasing out a literal interpretation of this scripture.. thanks,.

I need some assistance!

i just found out that a co-worker of mine is a ex-jw....she's being pressured to go back to the khall...she says everytime she goes to visit her family, they're telling her how jehovah still loves her...blah blah blah...thankfully she has her own apartment!.

i do see how her upbringing in the cult has affected her...she's soft and overly kind, but she's a real sweetheart...the down side: people take advantage of her.. should i tell her that i too am a jw and understands what she's going through with her family or should i just tell her that "spirituality is a personal thing and don't feel guilted into doing something you don't want" ect....the thing is, she talks alot and if i tell her that i'm suppose to be a jw, then the entire workplace will know.... what should i do?

my only aim is to have her not feel guilted in going back...she said her family has been trying to get her back in, but she's resisting it...the other issue, her son stays with her jw sister (she didn't disclose why)...and my co-worker tells me that her son is becoming a "jw convert".. please i need some advice!.

i would get a new king james bible and show her luke 21:8 and thn ask her, 'doesnt christ mean anointed one and doesnt the leaders of that religion claim their anointed'? And isnt that religion been saying for over 100+ years that the time is near'?

second study article July 15th 2013

last weekend congos around the world studied the second artcile of the famous wt 15th july.. it dealt with the prohecy in matthew 13 about the weeds and the wheat.. while they claim, that the gathering in the storehouse took place after 1914, the gathering to the kingdom of heaven will be right before armageddon.

what they did not mention, was when the resurrection of already dead anointed will happen.

why some of them shine brightly in the kingdom, while others are still on earth ?.

Notice to they don't speak of the 4 angels holding back the destruction so the 144k can be sealed, the verse makes it sound imminent and they must wait a bit to seal and save these ones. But the JW religion says that this is taking 2000 years to happen and most of the sealed ones have long since died anyway. Does that make sence at all???

amongst the many random topics, the mediatorship of jesus came up.

i stated, "...now, in your faith, jesus is not your mediator, correct?

the last time i went to the kh was memorial 2013 and the elder giving the talk.

spooke of "two hopes" for christians...i sat there and wondered how did i. ever believe such a thing!..its not even in the bible!!!

Romans 3:21-22, one hope and no distiction. In revelation where it talks about others after the first reserection or something like that that phrase is considered added text and not genuine by most bible scholars.

If the big change at the AGM meeting is dropping the literal 144,000...

the best conjecture seems to be that the gb are going to drop the literal 144,000 teaching, especially in view of the december watchtower that pointedly does not mention the 144,000 number.

if they are dropping the literal 144,000 number, but still claim that only a small number are anointed, and can partake, and that only a few are left on earth, then it is fair to ask what has really changed?

they are simply clearing up the embarrassing situation that there were obviously more than 144,000 "anointed" believers from 36 ad until now, and that the number of partakers has been increasing in recent years.

I dont see them doing a damn thing except a new bible if even that, These Guys think their all that and dont see a need to do anything. Remember the sheeple are not questioning en mass or falling away en mass. Not to mention last years memorial talk given at my hall was given by a bethelite and he was adamant about not partaking, even lying about Judas not being at the first meal. So it seems as though they really want a distiction between classes not the other way around.
