Guys, Iraq is a pretty sizeable country and all the caches and chemicals and stuff is hidden somewhere out in the dessert, most likely buried. There's no way we're gonna wait years for the UN inspectors to sweep the entire country with a fine tooth comb.

When Saddam kicked the UN Inspectors out in 98, they had plenty of time to find a good location or locations to store all of the weapons and chemicals as well as biological agents where it can never be found.

Plus they could have built some underground bunkers as a lab of sorts where the work can be continued uninterrupted w/o fear of being discovered by the Inspectors.

Saddam obviously is very confident that they would never be found when he again allowed the Inspectors back into the country.

He's a scheming liar and will continue to lie about not having any kind of WMD anywhere that he rules over.

We're not going to wait until something turns up that provides 100% evidence that he has WPD because by then it could very well be too late. We can't afford to wait. If we waited too long then he fires a warhead against a country he has targeted, it will be too late. That kind of regret is what we don't want.

If he already has a long range missle that is nuke capable, would you not want to take Saddam out before he can be able to use it against the US or the UK or Israel?

IronGland - You seem to be under the impression that such dalliances are a new occurence that can be blamed on lax moral standards. The only thing new about the clinton 'scandal' is that it got reported. I don't find a BJ immoral and if Hillary can live with it, I think we can.

Can you live with the fact that your daughter is out there somewhere giving every man she meets a BJ?

How about if she's a porn star?

How would you feel seeing every man eyeing your daughter with lust in their eyes as she walks along side with you?

How about if she got married, but has sex with other men other than her own husband?

Do you have any problems with any of the above?

Blueblades - What I did ask was, "Why don't God get rid of the death penalty and all kinds of human suffering that goes along with it."
We don't have that kind of kindness to do what I'm asking God to do.When you mention acts of kindness, I know you have a good heart and would extend that kindness to end all human suffering and death if you could.
We are limited,God is not,I only ask that God use his kindness to the fullness of his ability to do so,not limit it because of the actions of others.

I understand what you are saying meadow,,,,,, BUT........why would God answer YOUR prayers for me,,,,,,,,,,and not answer my own?

LyinEyes, we don't know why God doesn't answer EVERY single prayer, but I continue to pray regardless if I ever get an answer or not. God has answered my prayers on a number of occasions.

One good scripture comes to mind...

Matthew 18 19 "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."

I do that alot with my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. It helps tons.

Logical - Does YOUR God do that to people? That is not very nice is it? It is really fair for those who have been misled their entire lives and messed around so much they understandably dont know what to believe?

greven - Would YOU burn someone forever for not believing in you? Would YOU torture someone for eternity because of the sins of a few years? I think most people can't and wouldn't. However, an entity that claims to be LOVE itself would do something like that to, possibly, millions?!
Sadly enough, I know parents that hit their children as punishment, but I know none that would torture their children for their mistakes no matter how hardheaded and severe these mistakes may be. But The Loving Father has no problem with this...?!

If you reject Jesus as your Lord and Savior and if your name is not written in the Lamb's Book of Life, you're history. The bible is very clear about that.

People who do nice things for their church and yet never really knew Jesus because they tried to do good works for the Lord rather than asking Christ to come into their hearts and have their sins forgiven...Jesus said...

You failed to mention in verse 41and 42 what happens to those who did nothing for His people....

Satan's number one goal is to make sure a soul NEVER knows Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The more that do not know and believe, the better he likes it. He knows his time is short, so before he goes down, he wants to make sure that he's able to take as many souls as he possibly can with him.

That includes making sure people who never heard of Jesus remain never hearing of Him, making sure that Atheists remain unbelievers of God and INCLUDING JWs who are told that Jesus is only for the anointed class and He is not for the earthly class.

Bathroom breaks

i remember watching people so well back when i was growing up and going to the meetings.

one thing as i look back on was the ban on the bathroom.. you just did not leave your seat to use the bathroom.

you went before the meeting started, or after.

It is NOT The Watchtower Society anymore?!?

i don't know if this has been posted recently but... .

i was just talking to a friend (a ms jw) that told me that he was told by the elders on a talk he was about to give that according to their last elders school there are instructions not to use the terms "the watchtower society" or "the society" or "the organization" anymore... but rather to now always use "the faithful and discreet slave" or "the slave"... .

Why is it, everytime I see something quoted from the "slaves" literature that I want to take a stack of old Watchtowers and Awakes down from the attic, make a little paper nest with the crumpled pages and take a big dump right in the middle of it? Can anyone explain?

Well, instead of doing that. Mail'em to Randy Watters or David A. Reed. They can make good use of it for their newsletters if they can good articles they can scan for everyone to read and see to point out their crap that they print.

Mankind has always blamed God for whatever has gone wrong rather than blaming the free will of man who do evil things to human beings. It's part of our nature. We blame God. We complain to God. We even tried to tell God what to do and what He should do. We moan, groan and bellyache about everything. Even man blames another human being for his demise. Man comes home and beats on his wife because it's the wife's fault that he had a bad day. We always have a need for a scapegoat.

God gave us a free will to chooise whatever action we choose. Good or Evil.

The good news is that Good always prevail against Evil. Even if Evil ruled over the Good of the people, the Good eventually conquers Evil sooner or later. The good of the many will always prevail against the evil of the few.

As for the atheists, they've always been around for centuries and always will be around. I would really hate to watch them stand before God on judgement day and be judged for rejecting God and the Gospel of Christ. I would hate to watch them be tossed into the lake of fire where they will burn forever and never die.

Man, I can see the look in their faces, eyes as big as saucers, knees knocking louder than a church bell. Mouths open so wide that a bird can fly in and build a nest in it. I can imagine them thinking, "Man, this ain't happening. This is all a bad dream. This is not happening!"

I don't wish it on anyone on this day, I rather see all get saved and rejoice with the Lord in victory over evil. But that's not gonna happen and I am sad.

Like I said before in another thread, it's their choice if they choose not to believe in God.

It's their choice if they have no desire to be saved.

It's their choice if they don't want to be in heaven.

It's their choice if they want to die in their sins rather have their sins washed by the blood of Christ who died on the cross on that very day of Calvary and be totally forgiven.

I wish all those unbelievers good luck in life.
