Honestly I have found the best way of dealing with the dubbies is just to say nothing. You are on a very slippery slope by talking behind your wife's back, as I believe this will just totally undermine your marriage regardless of weather you think it's a load of crap or not. Your son will pick up on it soon enough with out you saying a word. Hey all the best.

by search4truth ini'm trying to fade away from the jw religion fully aware of ttatt .
my wife is still under mind control of this cult and teenager 14 years old attending most of the meetings an some ministry arrangements but is not interested and going just to please mum.
i actively educate my son about about other cults and their practices and he knows i don't believe that wt has anything to do with god.

I'm confused! Just what is the "new" donation arrangement and how is it like "tithing"?
by booker-t ini've been out so long but many of my ex-jws friends have been telling me of a "new" donation/tithing arrangement the wts is using today.
when i was a jws we had "contribution" boxes at the back of the kh and the elders would give talks about contributing to the kingdom interest.
we were not forced to give but gave as we pleased.

i have noticed that there have been discussions on him in years past on jwn, and i'm sure a google search will bring news articles on him.
what i can't find on discussions in jwn (and the question i have) was he was sexually abused by a witness called john olave beaver.

Yeah I know the Antonie Dixon case was hugh in NZ. But what I am wanting to find out more on is John Olave Beaver. Was he disfellowshipped? How was it handled in the congregation. Was it a case of I'm repentant so let's forget about it. I see he also abused 2 others and I'm just wondering if they were also members of the congregation. Could it perhaps be another example of a poorly managed sex abuse.

Dose anyone know this guy and if he is still circulating in Witness circles? To what extent was he involved with the cult at the time of offending? I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt and say that he could of just been an interested person, but it was sensationalised in the media as been a Governing Body member. Elder molester - Montana - 1970s - need your help please
by tazchick55 inhi there tazchick55 here need your assistance i am trying to locate an elder who molested my sister when she was 16 without publishing his name his initials r j c he bounced around montana with his wife and another woman gawd only know what was up with that.
they never stayed in one place long i believe wify and friend were pioneers he was an elder in the bozeman/belgrade about 1976 or there about there is a good chance he is dead (one can only hope he died a painful death at any rate if you have any information let me know thanks.

Advice Needed
by HeyThere inso my situation is changing and i am trying to figure out the best way for me to handle this.
i am an unbaptized publisher married to a dub who was inactive when we met and when we married and during the course of our marriage, and just went back active a year and a half ago.
he is a full believing dub.

To be honest I would really discourage anyone from marrying an inactive JW because there is always the possibility that they will return to it - as has has been the case with you. I have read countless cases on here (and also of one in real life which ended in divorce) where returning to the religion caused serious problems. Although at present I know TTATT, and I haven't been to a meeting in over a year. I have for family and financial reasons still got feet in both camps. i find what works best for me is just to say obsolutly nothing to them. I can guarantee that if you openly express you views to anyone this will just isolate you even more. Although not married to a witness the below link is a very good example of someone who raised concerns, who was just a study
