That is wonderful, I'm glad you were able to make a decision. I believe it is one you will never regret. Watching my husband and kids (19 and 16) at their first Christmas was amazing my hubby is like a child, he tells everyone that he never really lived before. Also my daughter is an Avid Scooby Doo Fanatic So good choice on the cake.

based upon your life and circumstances, were you easy prey for witnesses to get to you with their message?
were you going thru some trauma or bad times?
I was ripe for the pickin, I had a new baby 7 months old who's biological errr sperm donater had decided to be a lifelong bachelor and dickhead( he is 42 and still a freak of nature) My dad had divorced my Mom after 32 years and she was a valium queen from the grief, I was living in Southern MO after moving from KC when our home was repossed. I had attended the Baptist church and felt betrayed by them(they were SAINTS compared to the DUBS in retrospect). The man met and eventually married was a JW, I was a study freak but they got antsy when I began to question to much. My doom in that congregation came when the Pioneer that was conducting my study asked me if "I was sure my fiance could satisfy me sexually" as if I were a tramp or he was inadequate, I LOST IT I slammed my bible down and kicked her out! I was not very popular from then on

the top of the crap pile for me was trying to place a magazine entitled the salty drink that saves lives.
It's weird I think I have blocked our A LOT of the service crap, I can't remember one title to one magazine YESSSSS I do remember the time I had two little kids about 9 months and 3 years worked to get us all ready for service I arrived all of 5 minutes late (boondocks Cabool,MO) There were about 12 people going in service they piled into two cars, threw a territory to me and left me with my kids in the parking lot. Stupid me, I go BY MYSELF with my kids and then went home and CRIED until I couldn't breathe beating myself up for BEING LATE. Geesh if they had one iota of compassion, you would think they would have HELPED me but NO

i once posted about my son, and his being given a ticket for public intoxication.
well, he came home a while ago drunk.
i flew off the handle and we had a few words.
We have so many alchol related wreck here in KC deaths alsoI was furious with my husband when he sat the kids down when the were 11 and 13 he told them if they wanted to drink they could drink in our home but if we ever even THOUGHT they were drinking elsewhere he would kill them. I was so mad but my son NEVER drinks he has taken a few sips of beer in the house and gagged LOL(thank God) My daughter drank on her Senior Trip and regretted it (can you say nipple pierced YUCK) Our neighbor was more into the talking and warning and her son drinks and drives etc. We are lucky the kids know were nuts and would kill them LOL Also I would go to ANYONE'S house that allowed liquor to be given to my children.
That was how we handled it but your situation may be different, I had alot of alcholics in my family so I never drank much and my husband just drank beer. But my children have seen their uncle be a total ass drunk etc. You might have your son tour a morgue or a jail this might make him wake up. For me it was the history and in school I saw a film with a guy strung out on heroine I WILL NEVER FORGET IT the kid sitting next to me was black and when we left we were pale as ghosts. Sometimes a shock will wake them up. My daughter was always going out at 2:00 Am or later to pick up kids that called her that were drunk, she always told them if they were going to be dumb at least call her if they couldn't drive. I always worried she would get hit by the one that didn't call.
Parenting is hard remember just when you think they don't care or listen POOOF they get a brain. My daughter didn't hardly talk to me for two years then she had her daughter (my girl is 20) and I am now the all knowing MOM LOL But I NEVER dreamed it would happen. So have faith they do come around, but now before they drive us to the nut house

I worked for Citibank for five years, they are great about hiring elderly people my neighbor's mother works there she is 79 the lady across the street works there she is at least 68 or so. (yes, I recruited heavily) My neighbor is 48or so she works there and Citibank is worldwide so there are companies that will hire.

we found a house to rent.
We are very familiar with this as my hubby does home repair and inspections (and is a writer) Yes, the dork can do this legally but you can ask to be there, have notice and make sure they know what they are buying LOL But make sure you keep your valubles locked tight my hubby has seen to many thefts from would be "buyers" also some case out a place for a burglery later (sorry but it is true) make sure you tell the landlord your concerns of this.
Also, the poor kitty...I have three Maine Coons that URP from the hairballs I have tried everything but they have such long hair and well it could be worse...wellll maybeeeee
