  In and of itself it's fairly innocent, but put it alongside Watchtowers constant demands to donate donate donate your time and your money, it is easy to see it fits in with their message for JW's to be generous and donate to the WWW.

  This cartoon strikes me as a 'primer'. Generate that generous spirit first - then later the Watchtower will direct that generous spirit to the contribution boxes. The article of the chicken Julia mentioned are a great example of that.

  I don't think I'm being paranoid by saying this, it's cumulative evidence of their manipulative techniques that make it obvious.

  *Facepalm* What do you make of this cultish email I just got from my JW friend? What do I say to her?

  a bit of background: she is a sweet sister who has hard a really hard life: mum killed in an accident when she was young while once-an-elder dad was off having an affair after having been released from jail after serving time as a pedophile; she spent months in hospital after the accident which killed her mother; brothers jailed as pedos, ex husband left her cold with their 6 month old son- she's had a tough life and is a really sweet lady.

  she's intelligent, caring, forgiving and articulate.

  far too good for jws.. she 'brought me into the truth' as they say, and as such we've always had a pretty good bond.. now, after the gossip/slander fiasco of another so-called friend running around telling everyone i'm an apostate and not to talk to me, i unfriended my jw friends from facebook with an explanation.

  It's frustrating.

  You could agree with the list she compiled and mention that God's moral standards would include doing everything to protect children from abuse - and information you've researched has indicated that the Watchtower are not doing this.

  Watchtower doesn't give back - ever. Get used to that idea Caleb.

  Gerret Losch mused in a public talk that Jehovah may use 'radiation' to destroy some people at armageddon. Could be that he uses chemical warfare also - wouldn't surprise me.

  watchtowers brief due today?.

  can anyone explain to me how to get the briefs from the californian court website?

  i need to direct a jw to the website to get the breifs but not really sure how to get them myself.. .

  Thanks. That source is enough - I won't be actually getting it from there but at least so I can tell them where it can be obtained (avoiding 'apostate' sites). I've got all the transcripts from JWleaks.

  So the brief due today should be available in a few days - looking forward to it.
