Some, like my parents, are now happier as JWs. And since they feel they have the truth, then I don't see how you can get them out. They will probably hear you if they knew you had the answers to life.

JW usage of Jehovah

i was trying to make the point that they cannot claim to be the only "true" religion.
at first they wanted to start pointing out why they felt they were.

Can Somebody Help Me Out?
by DazedNConfused17 ini'm doing a report for school on jehovah's witness and i've looked all over the internet and i can't seem to find the method by which they maintain a distinct identification (for example symbols, clothing, and appearance, etc) if anybody can help i would be grateful.

Just received Crisis of Conscience!!
by acsot ini've already exited the jws in mind and heart, and have read many comments from everyone about the book, so didn't really see the need to buy it for myself.
however, after reading something here on the forum, i decided to order it (and the tao of pooh and siddhartha.
) a super-dub sits two desks away from (she and her husband knew ray and his wife, had tea with them in their room when he was on the gb, etc.

Throwing out Old Watchtowers

did u feel guilty about throwing out old copies of the watchtower even if you had the yearly bound volumes?
my mom won't do it.

My parents won't throw them becuase they say they don't know when it will be needed when the great tribulation begins.

How the Society have failed our youth
by truthseeker inwhen you think of how much talent and creativity young people have, isn't it a shame that the watchtower bible & tract society has done absolutely nothing for the development of young people?.
they can print a'young people ask' article on the use of cellphones, they can produce a video on how to make friends, and they can release a glossy tract about what will youths do with their life, yet they do nothing to promote 'youth' in the organisation.. generation after generation of young people are subjected to 5 boring meetings a week, an endless supply of doors to knock on and an endless amount of literature to read, study and mediatate on.. i'm not sugessting for one moment that all jw youths/young adults are miserable and bored in the organization.
some seem to have gone through life with ready made friends in their congregation, no bullying at school, steady jobs and some sort of 'career' in the organization, whether it be pioneering or bethel service.. but there is a saying that ignorance is bliss and this is true of the religion a lot of us were raised in.. how may churches do you know have services for young people?

The congregation might not sponsor a gathering for young people. But people can do a gathering of their own. Don't we all remember the annual congregation picnics?

Hidden Images in the JW Publications
by Hunyadi ini am a disfellowshipped brother and have never had a problem with the organization's doctrines.
i am, however, deeply disturbed at the undeniable use of hidden or subliminal images in the illustrations of the wt publications.
there are so many that it cannot be interpreted as anything other than a deliberate pattern.

If I were a JW, I wouldn't have a bit interest in reading it. The way he will react depends on how close and how good of a friend you are.
