  Jeeehovah, ALLmighty Faaather. We come before you to seek your wisdom and guidance as we work hard to defend your name here in Canada. May you bless the legal staff involved and may you bring eeeevil upon the doctors, lawyers and judges that seek to persecute your people. May you bring your enemies to their knees where tehy must acknowledge that you are the most high god.. In Jeesus name, amen.

  This prayer or similar was heard within the legal department as well as by the entire Bethel family when he was asked to say the prayer during meal times.

  My point? Yeah they really do believe jehovah is backing them and they cannot fail.

  canada press announces that the sextuplet parents & jw lawyers are in court, fighting for the right of the parents to be granted a hearing before the children were taken away.

  ex-jws protesting outside the courthouse appear in the paper, a nice picture too.

  You might have noted from the articles that John Burns was in attendance. John was Glen How's prodigy. He was the Bethel Supervisor of the legal department for quite a few years until Don Kirkland took over (not a lawyer just long time elder). He has been busy in Eastern Europe and thus Brady was taking on most of teh domestic stuff.

  The fact John was there (who has a much sharper legal mind than Brady) was either for damage control or indicates the WTBS is gonna go full tilt on this one. I kinda hope its the latter because they will never win this one in the court of public opinion!

  Happy Friday 13th! Are you superstitious about anything?

  a friend kindly pointed out it was friday 13th!!!

  now i am not normally superstitious about anything, but i try and avoid going out on a full moon and am not overly keen on friday 13th.

  i know its irrational but hey - i'm female (sorry that was a bad joke)!.

  I don't put much stock into such things.

  Though...back in the mid 80's my father was airlifted to the hospital with an aortic aneurism on Friday the 13th. He lqater died of cancer February Friday the 13th, 2004.

  I am still not superstitious but I just simply don't like the day.

  Silly Things You Can Do For Which Jehovah Will Kill You...

  i was thinking about all the various people who the bible says have been killed by jehovah or his angels for various acts of disobedience.

  here are a few of the ones i thought of....feel free to add your own eating a piece of fruit (slow death, 930 years) picking up some sticks on the sabbath preventing the ark of the covenant from falling when the guy carrying it stumbles living in a city where your family has lived for generations, in a region where jehovah has "given" the land to his "chosen" people dancing for your victorious warrior father, not knowing he has vowed to offer the first one out of the house as a burnt offering.

  There is a reason I took this alias.

  The Society loves to cite Uzzah as a bad example of one who did not trust in Jehovah to care for his spiritual things (ark). Yet out of good intention Uzzah reached out and steadied the ark out of respect and not wanting it to fall into the mud/dirt.

  God saw fit to smite him despite it being the elders (priests) fault for not carrying the ark properly.

  For this, the old testament god is a bastard and the WTBS using Uzzah as an example to keep brainwashed good hearted people in line are even more a bastard.

  my inlaws are extremely toxic.

  i know, every person says that about their inlaws, but the way they treat their family is absolutely horrible.
