Another person finds freedom from the WTS.
by BLISSISIGNORANCE ini met with her last friday for the first time in years, told her as much as i could in one sitting without over-loading her and invited her to our freedomfest.
she accepted and spent the whole day and up to 11pm that night with us.

Well....................in Canberra (Australia) we have had smoking restrictions in public places for years. Restaurants, offices, work areas, shopping malls, indoor cafe's etc. There are some bars which allow smoking but they are not the majority.You can drive through the city and see workers standing outside huddled together sucking on fags in their breaks, summer or winter. When we go out it's just the norm to not have smoke blown in your face, coming home smelling like an ashtray with red, sore eyes.
I use to be a heavy smoker myself but gave up 14 years ago. But even when I smoked I believed that pollution of any kind is wrong and smoking is a form of pollution. It's unfair for non-smokers to HAVE to put up with something that is known to be harmful and smelly! When I go out as a non-smoker I'm greatful for the laws which ensure that my air will not stink. I know we breath in poisons every day from fumes etc, so I'm happy to be protected from at least 1. One thing that really annoys me is when I see someone in a car, with kids, smoking with the windows up. Those kids are being made to smoke too! Not right!
So personally I think it's a great idea. Even some smokers here don't complain about the laws anymore, some even think it's helped them to reduce their nicotine intake, eventually giving up!

I met with her last Friday for the first time in years, told her as much as I could in one sitting without over-loading her and invited her to our Freedomfest. She accepted
and spent the whole day and up to 11pm that night with us. (me, Mr Bliss, Mr & Mrs Ozzie and Kelpie, and Barry)I also left CofC with her...............she started to read it and rang me to talk about it. She said the book touched her deeply but was so glad to be reading it.
Although she hasn't had anything to do with the borg for 5 years, she still had guilt and sadness
. But now she feels alot stronger and determined, better in herself and has been encouraged by meeting with all of us xdubs.So there you go................some positive news
. Helping people to see the 'truth' about the 'troof' is something I really enjoy doing. Knowing that with information and support people can free themselves from the WTS's enslaving, controlling and abusive clutches!Just wanted to share this with my friends.

Well, the dubs pride themselves on how their members are encouraged to publicly answer and make expressions of faith at the meetings.
I think it is fair to say that when they answer up they do answer in their own words (mostly the over 25's attempt this risky stunt) but it's the WTS's THOUGHTS they are presenting!

Ozzie's Weekend Poll #65 - fresh from the Freedomfest

we're down in canberra right now at the home of mr and mrs bliss.. the freedomfest went great and right now mrs bliss is "in a huddle" with a fomerly zealous sister bringing her up to speed on judicial procedures.
mrs ozzie's reading and we're just enjoying this cosy home.. but we mustn't forget the poll!

The PO in our congregation never put his car in his garage because it wouldn't fit. You see, he had it full of 'left over' materials from the quick build. His garden looked alot better after the quick build too!!!!!

Sorry that I am a bit grumpy :(
by caspian ini took a specialised law exam yesterday, and i should really have been revising hard this past month, but because of what happened with my dad, i didn't.
even though i won't get the results till next week i know that i have failed , and the company that i work have never had anyone fail this exam before.
so i am a bit cheesed off.

SYDNEY: Australia has the highest levels of ecstasy abuse in the world, says a new United Nations drug report.
The first UN global survey on ecstasy and amphetamines, issued in Rome yesterday, also said Australia ranked second only to Thailand in terms of methamphetamine abuse.
The problem of amphetamine-type stimulants in Australia was characterised by high levels of abuse and was "serious and growing", the report warned.
"Australia has the highest levels of ecstasy abuse world-wide and ranks second for methamphetamine use," it said.
According to the report by the Vienna-based UN Office on Drugs and Crime, the local production of methamphetamine tablets in Australia was increasing.
It said the drugs were manufactured locally using pseudoephedrine as a chemical precursor - either bought or stolen from retail outlets or taken from chemical factories, warehouses and factory yards.
"The relatively closed market appears to have disguised the specific nature and extent of the problem for some time," the report said.
But domestic manufacture of ecstasy was limited. The drugs were mainly imported from Europe, South-East Asia and China.
Imported tablets were often ground up, diluted and resold and were of dubious and inconsistent quality. Fake ecstasy was also being produced locally using ingredients like ketamine, paracetamol and caffeine.I worry for our children..................it's very scarey.
