  wow, it's been forever since i posted on here.

  anyway, in the last three years i've managed to completely separate myself from the jw way of thinking.

  at this point, i know beyond a shadow of a doubt that it's crap, and their teachings mean nothing to me... but my best friend made a terrible mistake, so i need some advice regarding his situation.. .

  ... and i'm surprised, because of how devout i "thought" she was, and how "in the truth" her family is.. turns out, she's bipolar (surprise, surprise, another mental disorder found in a jw) this is the one that was my best friend when i was in the "truth" and now she's totally wild...

  Finding serenity after leaving the JWs

  tonight was such an interesting and profound night for me.

  i went to class... well, specifically a class that i enjoy a great deal... with a professor who has inspired me since i began college...

  so i'm sitting there, listening to him lecture, watching him walk back and forth across the stage with this huge projection of the u.s. territories in the background... and for the first time in what seems like ages, my soul spoke to me.

  ...because i can't, not after what they said to me.

  i've been noticing more an more that i'm more athiest than anything else because i don't have a gret attachment to god or spirituality.

  don't get me wrong, i'm as guilty as the next guy.

  i love reading on here, lurking if you will (i am a woman of very few words) but you know, i still remember what those anal warts (elders) would say at meetings about "apostates" etc.

  do you think we're just playing the part because we left the org, i mean, do you get what i'm saying?

  The lesbian Doth Encounter thy Elders at BORDERS BOOKS!

  yes, the headlines are true.. last night, after getting my hair cut wayyy off (i have a faux hawk guys, it's cool to be butch) i went to borders for my usual perusal of porn (kidding, i bought a cookie from mrs. fields and it was the only other warm place open in fresno).

  upon entering the back doors of borders, my girlfriend and i felt an immediate presence of pure evil!

  you know, the kind only a jw can put off.

  i started a new thread for the reason that i am a relay operator... i bet you've gotten a relay call from someone in nigeria, right?

  or something to that extent... well, if you haven't, you will because that's their other mode of contact.

  LBGT panels and the JWs in my classes reactions to hearing I'm an EX JW.

  i attend college at a very very conservative university.

  csu, fresno is known for having quite a few anti-gay unspoken truths, so i decided to help out our community a little, and volunteered to speak to some of the womens studies classes about homosexuality.

  it was pretty damned awesome, because we educated a lot of people about what being gay is... and, we also educated a few witnesses, thanks to me.
