Relationships after "The Truth"
by Cthulhu ini just saw the last thread started by highdose about her date with the nonwitness gentleman (and you have both my congratulations as well as best wishes).
but then it occured to me as a single guy that i have had very little luck in the dating department since leaving the cult.
i understand why, to a large degree, this can be a problem for folks after they have had their minds and social skills depleated.

A sense of pride and new found confidence
by highdose inhey guys!
i'm back from my first ever date with a non jw guy!
i'll tell more about that later, but as i was on the way there i remembered about how i used to pray before meeting a jw date, ( none of which ever worked out) and i realised that not praying and not attributing everything good to god has really boosted my confidence and thereby my pride.. it means that whatever goes right in my life is down to me and my hard work.

If you had a JW parent that sheltered you, here are the stages that your post JW relationships go through:
The girl/guy that takes your virginity. Usually a slick talking psychopathic parasitical floozie/manwhore.
The girl/guy after the first, since now you have a taste for the sugar, you want it some more.
Your second serious relationship, which is also sex based and short lived.
The second stage of whoring yourself out.
The third or 4th relationship. It's always sex based and short lived, but you also realize that you're repeating the same mistakes over and over again. This is the critical relationship right here. Some JWs go back to the religion, upon being utter failures in the non JW world of dating. Others seek professional help.
4 or 5th th relationship is also the watershed moment. It's somewhat sex based, but then you get picky about who you nail. You might fall for a good person or you might fall for another slick talking psychopath, except this psychopath pretends to be "nice". If you're going back in, the psychopath is going to be a JW that manipulates you by using the JW rules and by shaming you with your "checkered" past.
And finally, around the 5th or sixth relationship, you learn how to have a healthy relationship after seeking professional help, assuming you stay out of the dubs. If you stay in the dubs, you're still stuck in the 4/5 relationship stage until you kill yourself or you live in tolerable misery.
I learned my lesson around the 5th relationship and now I'm in a good relationship with a stable person. We've been together for about a year.

What Are Your Thoughts On The Apostle Paul?
by cognac ini find him very confusing and difficult to figure out sometimes.
evidently, peter did also.
anyways, i find him a bit harsh and unloving in the way he deals with the congregations and i was shocked how he rebuked with peter.

Paul is so great that there's a City in Minnesota named after him!

Sister "Elly" vanishes
by MinisterAmos inmy daughter is 18 and goes to meetings from time-to-time basically to mess with the dubs (she always wears mini-skirts) and keep up on gossip....she actually filled me in on this but i find it amusing.. sister "elly" (we'll just call her that) the buxom vixen of our spanish congo suddenly stopped showing up to meetings.
my curiosity became aroused when not one single person asked her mom about her!.
her mom and step-dad are super-dubs, the kind who take it personally if a child draws pictures during the meeting rather than sit ram-rod straight, if a bro uses the john more than once, or if a sister "forgets" her hose.

Read some of my posts in the past and you'll rethink my homosexuality, despite your shaming language, Amos.
"LMAO at minister amos thinkin people are gay if they dont appreciate young ass!!!..........hahahah..........that is prob jumpin to conclusions bro....some people see an 18 year ol hottie with a j-lo ass and see a little girl?"
When I see an 18 year old girl, I see somebody who has had 10 years less of life experience that I have, and who I wouldn't really have anything in common with, and if I attempted reproduction with her, would make for a very naive, inexperienced mother for my children, who would end up clinging to me at every waking second, looking for life advice. Sorry, I like my women independent and worldly (In every meaning possible). No 18 year old girl is worldly. Not to mention that a woman with any sense would get the heebie jeebies from there mere thought of a man that's 15-20 years her senior checking her out. How would you feel at 18 if you found out that your best friend's mom was checking you out, assuming you're of sound sense and morality?

DF'd Loyalists Who Face Blood Issue
by sd-7 inanyone know of a case of someone who was df'd, then had an emergency that required a blood transfusion?
let's say they're still loyal to wt and don't want it.
do the elders come to the hospital and stick up for them, or, because they're "no longer one of jehovah's witnesses", they just leave 'em to get pumped full of blood or to die by their own choice, since either way, they can't take judicial action anyway?

Another question: If a JW was taking care of a non JW and the JW didn't allow the non JW to get a blood transfusion, would the JW leadership support the JW? I ask because my mom told me that if she was in care of any of my children in the future, she wouldn't give them a blood transfusion.

Quit checking out young women's posteriors. You have a daughter that's as old as this poor young woman.

Dissolved Congregation
by dudeson ini heard recently that 1 of the 4 congregations in our relatively small area has been "dissolved" and relocating many of them to the hall i used to attend.
it must be due to the low numbers these days.
our average sunday meeting attendance when i left was around 75.. does this seem to be a growing trend recently?.

A local congregation here was absorbed into a larger congregation. My mom tried to spin it as "The brothers and sisters were chomping at the bit to join us in worship." Yeah, right. They were upper middle class snobs who had a deep dislike towards the inner city JWs.

Think ive changed...can see it quite a bit laterly.PLEASE!!
by angel eyes inputting this out there.....going back 12months ago i was completely different to how i am now.
i am still loyal to jah and dont go against the scriptures, but even though ive recently returned to pioneering (only aux pio at present) i see im a little more laid back.. i think this has come through having to endure hell and back without any help, except jehovah, which im not complaining, im so glad his been there for me, for us both.
but i really believe that due to things that have badly and wrongly been allowed to take place etc its moulded me a little different to how i was.
