I noticed while watching the Aussie tennis open that Serina Williams has a tatoo on her back that shows a little when her dress top shifts a little after some intense play. What does the WT think of tattoos particularly on women JWs. I noticed she still does that "Jehovah" thing in her finishing speach, that tells me that she is still in the org. True or false.

Keep in mind that "RELIGION" is man made. Being "SPIRITUAL" does not make you any better or worse than anyone else. There are natural processes that happen in the development of we humans that have been going on for millions of years. Man created belief systems (religions) as there was a need to guide certain types of individuals through life. In a million years or so, humans will shed the need to rely on beliefs as a means of survival. Just because you have that need does not mean your husband has this need. In short, I suggest you leave him alone with his spirit and continue having a good married life. If I were a praying man, I would say a prayer for you, but I fear this would not help you one bit. If the old man up there is listening, it would probably help me more than you, and we wouldnt want that would we.

Will the kingdom halls be forced to "passs the plate' for more money?
by lighthouse19something inthey always used this as 'proof' that other churches were only in it for the money.

All they would have to do is change the name . I always thought that the word donation was not used. THe "official" term would be "contributions". Donations is a word used by the real Christian churches.

Baptism and At What Age?
by karnage ini have seen and noticed that most people who are raised as jw's get baptized at a young age.
ages like 14-19. how is it that someone can dedicate their life to jehovah at these ages, when maturity is still in development?
this seems to be something that jw's push and practice on a regular basis.

I was a Catholic when I was baptized before I was one year old. The claim was that if you are not baptized and you die, you will not go to heaven. You will go to a place called Limbo. What that means I have no idea. This baptisim thing is a crock anyway. It was invented by man for obvious reasons.

Sorry for the mixup. Unfortunately, THis is the most beautiful and brilliant piece of work I have seen in a long while and I wanted to share it with you all. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get it to download into this program. Perhaps someone can assist me. Believe me it is worth it. How do I do it? I can email it as an attachment but not to this program.

> It probably doesn't matter whether you believe in God and even less so > whether you believe in any religion. The truth remains that, where > faith/belief is concerned, "what in reality, 'is', is and what 'is not', > is not". In other words, you can't change reality( the truth) by > believing something or not believing it. Belief changes nothing except > our perception of something. > Hence: God is God whether you believe in him or not. Religion is just a > human perception of what/who God is and what he expects of us. > If you believe that premise, I would find it easier to believe in God > than in any man made religion, preferring to see God as I fancy him to > be rather that how some other well meaning or fanatical person may have > me believe God really is. > A friend of mine sent me the attached just the other day. Out of Mythic into Rational consciousness, the EX-JW Journey
by jst2laws ini have been absent much for almost a year, reading, learning and breaking out of boxes, figuratively.
i'm hoping that sharing some thoughts and asking some questions might be fun, and maybe helpful for a few.
have you wondered how two people can look at the same information, go through the same experience as you, perhaps even be party to the same conversation yet come away with an entirely different perception?

In order to reach the ultimate it will be necessary to study all of the relavent documents still in existance that talks about the Christian religion. I for one do not have enough time left on this earth to finish such a venture. Even if I did, and were able to learn the language of writings that exist and be able to remember the details of what I learned,I would be in a totally confused state of mind that I would die with a confused look on my face. It is ironic that the one man that changed civilation as did Jesus Christ and there was not a single sentence contributed by him in the so called word of God as it appears in the Bible. If a person must choose a belief system, Christianity would be the best choice. (not the Jehovah's Witnesses).THe worst would be Islam. As was once said by a more brilliant man than I, "BELIEFS MUST BE TEMPERED WITH REASON TO OBTAIN THE TRUTH".There are enough people on this planet that "need" a Faith to believe in for their survival, a properly tempered religion is still the only way for our happiness. (most of the time)
