WT's 1914 vs. Jesus Christ's Message on Matthew 24:36 & Acts 1:6
by ProfCNJ inthis striking thought just came into my mind.. our lord jesus christ said: "concerning that day and hour, nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the son, but only the father.
for just as the days of noah were, so the presence of the son of man will be.
" matthew 24: 36-37 (revised new world translation or rnwt).

Jesus Christ is King even before 1914 so Why the Need to...
by ProfCNJ ingood morning folks!
i have believed in the 1914 jw core teaching for more than 20 years.
but now, after seeing much about this date, i find it uncomfortable and odd to believe it unquestionably, much less defend it against opposing thoughts.

Wait on Jehovah - What does is it truly mean?
by ProfCNJ ingood evening folks!
we have encountered this advice countlessly on wt study articles.
this especially comes out to ease the waiting pain of brothers eagerly waiting for god's new world and the end of the old system of things - with all the sufferings that go along with it.. i also noticed this being floated to try to extend the patience of brothers who are jumping ahead of the organization in terms of thinking - as if they are pre-empting the organization on certain sensitive views and issues.. if a brother has gotten an idea or insight that is far more superior than the present affairs in the society, or regarded as way in advance - he can be branded as a brother "not in order".

won't go to technicalities as significant amount of stellar arguments have cast doubt on the new light, let alone break wt's claims anew.. .

Why do JWs stay despite doubts & discoveries about JW Beliefs?
by ProfCNJ inif we are going to create a pie chart with the following categories, what could be the main components-reasons and their respective percentages for just staying in the organization in spite of the doubts, discoveries about the jw doctrines/beliefs?
i doubt if the topmost reason is because of love of jehovah god and his son jesus christ.
your inputs dear friends and fellow brothers will be most appreciated.. a. below 40 years old.

Why WT translates Parousia as "Presence" and not "Coming" (Matt. 24:3)?
by ProfCNJ inwt had translated "parousia" as presence instead of "coming".
it has explained time and again that in 1914, jesus came invisibly and since then, we are living in the last days under his invisible presence.. now i was a bit puzzled if that would really be the appropriate translation after reading matthew 28:19, 20.. 19 "therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit,20and teaching them to obey everything i have commanded you.
and surely i am with you always, to the very end of the age.".
