i got married while i was a jw and have been married for 16 years.
the last 10 years have been totally loveless, and we have merely existed under the same roof, nothing more.
now that i've disassociated myself we have nothing in common at all.
Hi iiz2cool, the only advice I could think of is if you have children make sure they feel loved from both your wife and yourself if possible and never bad mouth the other party in front of them. Other than that all I can think of is keep it as civil as you possibly can in this situation, divorce can be a hard process in most cases, keeping it civil will avoid in making it drawn out and difficult.

this question may not make too much sense.
if a man creates a computer, using the best parts and software design with the intent of analyzing data accurately and reliably, would he also design it with the ability or freedom to 'crash' or spread viruses to other computers if it chose to?
if a man trains a dog with the intent of being a family pet, would he also give it the knowledge to kill humans or other animals?
I have always thought this assasin from manhattan, it's just somthing that seems completely unlogical. The only explaination I could come up with if we beleive everything about god that we have been taught is this .. God is an EGOMANIAC. He created humans with the ability to hate him so that he could feel good about himself if they liked him no matter what .. sounds like the human condition doesn't it ? Either way .. if God does exist in the way we have been taught then he should get real with himself and give us a break and then he might feel a bit better in himself.

i think most people are unfamiliar with why certain people behave the way they do.

i thought id give you an update re whats going on.
my qing the wts of recent has been very hard on my wife.
if i could, i would change my timing of doing so, but its just the way it has happened.
My thoughts are with both of you. You are a VERY good husband Winston Smith. You obviously care for your wife a great deal.
Having suffered from clinical severe depression myself I can say that your wife, the woman you fell in love with is there, just under the surface .. struggling with the torment of feelings and numbness this desease inflicts. I am sure with professional help she will come out of this a much stronger person for it. I can say this because I did.
This experience with the Elder brought tears to my eyes, for men that are suppose to show great love and understanding of the sheep .. they didn't show it at all. But you on the other hand showed them up, with the great and deep love you have for your wife, the amount of hurt you would have felt under this situation must have been overwhelming for you.
When you are coming out of depression it almost feels as if the world around you is a bit lighter .. less cloudy .. and then you start to sink down in the cycle again .. this happens from time to time during recovery from it .. but the more time goes on .. the less deeper you go down, until you reach the point where you feel lifes problems are managable .. and the only thing keeping you in bed in the morning is cold floor
I wish much streghth for your wife in her recovery and a little for you as well. Perhaps when she is alot better she will realise just how rediculous the whole WTS doctrines are and move on.

i started several weeks ago and all i can say is wow!
what they say is true... it is very adictive.
the natural high is amazing.
Yeah Shin Splints suck elsewhere .. I get them to when I first start doing things like running .. they go away after about a week. Somtimes they are caused by to much pressure on the front of your legs from being a bit over weight. It happens.

Get this .. my mum had a hard life up until one witness woman called on her one day. Mum said she would always hide behind the curtains till they were gone. But this one day the door was wide open and mum was practically already at the door. Mum said she wasn't interested and the old crone called out as mum was closing the door "IF you don't listen, you will die!" Well that caught mums interest enough and now we were all lead into suffering for it.
