My story of becoming a circuit overseer after Kin Suen visited our congregation.
by ExCircuitOverseer inhere is my story of becoming a missionary after having kin suen (pronounced “shin”) as my circuit overseer.
my father wanted me to go to college, but since he wasn’t a witness, i knew he just didn’t understand how close we were to the end.
i had actually become a circuit overseer!

As a JW, did YOU ever preach this??????
by BoogerMan inkm 2/91 p. 2 par.
6 - unique to jehovah’s people is the scriptural teaching of two destinies for those approved by jehovah—a heavenly one and an earthly one.
the principal heading under which we find references about those who have received “the heavenly calling” is “congregation of god.”.

Never once in the Ministry School (or anywhere else!) was I ever told by "the slave" that I had to offer people the hope of two future destinies.
Sure you did! Around the memorial this is all that was preached.

follower of Eric Wilson, abusive to single women covered by paying sums of money to support Beroean Pickets tourism trips.
by buzkid insusanne eigenheer is an ex-jw and suffered religious abuse in eric wilson's group.
her personal statement and experiences within the beroean pickets study groups was one of betrayal where she was taken advantage of financially.
in one text conversation, wendy wiens disfellowshiped susanne and demanded an apology from her.

I don't understand the need of ex jw's to get themselves so involved in these groups. After coming out of a high control group, the last thing anyone should do is get themselves involved in another group, literally from the frypan into the fire.
I've listened to Eric and many others of the exjw. I take everything with a grain of salt. but the idea getting deeply involved brings a little vomit up.

Wantingtruth, I read the blog, proclamatori consapevoli, but at times I find that most of the members still believe in the org. Most are only trying to change it within.

Paul Gillies.
George, I also thought for sure that Mr. Gillies would be up to the task.

Will there ever be any new GB members?
by Mikejw inthe last two seem very young.. will there be any further new gb members or will they all die off?.
i still remember when tony morris and a few other joined many were disappointed thinking the current crop would be the last.

I think Paul Gilles may be on the list for the future.
I think so too. He fits the pious prick profile. When you consider how he LIED to the editor of the Guardian during the UN debacle, yes, he'll be part of the new crop of gb in the not so distant future. -

Have 3 buildings disappeared from the new Italian Bethel under construction since 2019? What happened to them?
by LaFrancia inif anyone knows more, a comment is welcome.
if you visit the official jw website and search for bologna it will take you to some articles and 1 video.
the site shows a building completed in 2020 with 41 apartments, there is a photo with alleged bethelites looking out from the balconies and waving.

It sounds like they ran out of money, I was quickly reading on the Italian blog that contribution boxes have been set up exclusively for the Bologna project.
Here is the proffered lofty branch. Looks like the Italians want to compete with Warwick

Ages of each user here?
by ukpimo ini'm interested to know the age demographics here.
it must be significantly different to other exjw forums.
it would be a damning report for watchtower if most of us appear to have left for decades.. you don't have to mention your exact age, you could always say "in my 50s".. i am in my 70s.
