  Back in the late 80s I still held a few Witnesses as my friends. Especially a fellow and his bride to be. They invited me, personally, to their wedding and reception. It was a lively wedding.....just one tiny problem. The wedding and reception was held at the local Mason Hall.(free masonry hall.)

  You ever wonder how the Watchtower's Jehovah plays favorites? Free Masonry, as the Mormons, as well as some of the Watchtower all have basic symbols.

  Where is the ACLU? That Judge is completely off. The law is very clear....seperation of church and state.

  The Judge has violated that law by bringing the state into the church.....that's clearly a job for the ACLU, but then again the ACLU only supports those who have deep pockets..........

  i just read david_10's thread "my mother died..." 13 years ago i called my mother, after i had left the lie because i'm gay.

  i hadn't been disfellowshipped at that point, but she told me she didn't want to keep in contact because "being homosexual is one of the worst things.

  " i told her ok and have never tried to contact her again.

  is there something wrong? As a homosexual, been there done that........Paul tells us that many of us were all sorts at one time, until we came to know Christ as our Savour. So I altered my desires, which wasn't easy, and went forward.............

  How many early Christians?

  i was wondering for about a week or so, if anyone has done any research on the number of early christians?

  last week i looked up the number of anointed still on earth and in 1935 there were 52 465. using that number you have to assume that about 91 500 slots are left open for early christians, who the wt says were all anointed, and any others who still need to be found in the past, and or future.

  if we can add up all of the numbers some how it would either be more, or less then the magic 144 000. what that number honestly is, i imagine would be quite telling about the doctrine regarding this magic 144 000. .

  Let's get this straight and in the open, okay?

  in the article , w52 1/15 p. 62 Questions from Readers , about being hated for His name all Witnesses being persecuted because Jehovah God..........meaning not Jesus Christ as stated in Matthew 5.

  Christ said you'll be hated for My name sake in Matthew........that is only, if you believe that Christ is Jehovah God.

  All of the Jehovah Witnesses denie that Jesus is not God.....therefore, in my opinion, are being persecuted for Jehovah not Christ.....therefore they are being persecuted for the wrong being. Christ clearly stated that we will be persecuted for His name sake not Jehovah.

  Oh no! Janine Turner is the new Herpes Chick!

  janine turner played mary margaret 'maggie' o'connell in the series northern exposure (one of my favorite shows)... recently i saw her in a commercial for restasis, a herpes medication.

  i thought maybe she was just doing a one-time deal, but when i checked the restasis website (http://www.restasis.com) and there she was on the first page!

  apparently she is their new primary ad actor!

  and I thought this was a simple, yet straight shooters for JWs ex-JWs, those who are thinking and not media idiots.

  Turner has had chronic dry eye most of her life. Plus a few other illness.

  one of the major things the watchtower teach is learning religions and how important it is to find out if one is catholic or baptist or so forth.

  i can recall when i was studying with my ex-inlaws in the blue, "truth," book, there's a chapter on, "why is it wise to study you're religion.

  " there you'll discover it covers just a few tibbits on most major religions.

  let me get this straight JamesThomas Christ told us to follow Him to life.......Watchtower wants you to follow them to damnation. But then again it's faith that gets me through.

  Do I salute the flag? Sure.

• noun: an act of greeting with friendly words and gestures like bowing or lifting the hat
• noun: a formal military gesture of respect

Do I give worship to the flag? No. No man or living thing in this universe has that honor, but Jehovah God.

Would I die for my friends, family, or strangers? Possible. One needs to remember what Christ said.....no greater love has a man who gives up His life for His friends.
