It was heavily sugarcoated.
I'm surprised that that many witnesses and the organization itself worked within the proximity as that of a known homosexual, as much as they detest them.
it gave my wife (i only have 1, thank you very much) a few wtf moments when we first saw it last year.
check your local listings for times.

i just find this so ironic, don't you:.
http://www.pr-inside.com/prince-caused-religious-problems-for-r430202.htm.
prince caused religious problems for teenage jackson .
Well....there's a running rumour in JW circles that the mighty prince has been df'd. As they describe it, he's been kicked to the curb.
i know there has been a previous thread on this topic, but in spite of backing up through many many past topics i couldn't find it...can anyone explain this to me, please?
i mean, obviously the promise is that after being denied entry into heaven because they aren't one of the 144,000 the great crowd is stuck on earth, but it's somehow re-made into paradise?!
is there any scriptural support for this notion outside of the nwt?
Shoot me first !!!!!
my hall shares with 2 other congregations.
we went from an early morning 10am start to 4pm.. the elder giving the local needs part asks us the benefits of a later public talk/wt study, here are a sample of stupid, typically dub comments:.
1) we have more time for field service.
Hoefully he'll have "new lighted" instructions to his wh-organization wiping directions or else they'd probably not know what to do after should that happen.
this was one of the many reasons that i left the org.
i just could not agree with some of the beliefs & ideas that kids are exposed to at the hall.
having not been raised in the org, i never had any idea what effect it all had on kids.
I agree....play the "head of the household" card. When my son decided that he no longer wanted to go to meetings, I did and my the wife's knowledge and submission to WT rules and regulations forced her to capitulate.
Awesome outcome. I wonder just how many out there are quietly going through the motions afraid to speak out because of consequences and repercussions.
anyone get sucked in?
i always thought it was ironic how often they preached against this sort of thing from the platform, then were out in the parking lot trying to sell it to you.
tons of elders defrauding folks this way..
Primeamerica....yep...and one of the elders that got into that is now into ACN....and he still isnt getting wealthy. Avon, Tupperware, Mary Kay, Amway, Herbalife, ACN, Primeamerica, PamperedChef, Tahitian Noni, PartyLite (candles), Shaklee.... most of them are still making the rounds through the congos locally. Trimline was big here in the 80s.
Back when I was making my exit my elder f-i-l introduced me to another elder who was big into Primerica. I actually went to one of the sales meetings he was speaking at. It was a typical pyramid scheme selling worthless insurance products, where we were told that we weren't actually "selling" anything, just acting as financial consultants. We were specifically instructed to get as many as our friends and family involved as we could....to sell the product to at least ten people who would seel to another ten as your downline....etc. etc.....
After I stopped going to the seminars and backed off of meeting him with the names of the ten people I was supposed to bring him, he got all pissy and called one day to chastise me for wasting his time.
Yeah....he was all friendly at first faking spiritual concern when what he really wanted was me in his downline. When he saw he wasn't getting anywhere with me, his attitude soured in a hurry.
if you came out of the world (like myself), what was the main motivation why you joined/got baptised?.
was you genuinely disillusioned with the world and all of its badness and wanted real answers to why it was so?.
was you honestly convinced the world would one day be made into a paradise and wanted to be part of it?.
After having them constantly defining what is "right" then asking you the leading question "don't you want to do what is "right"?, I'm notu surprised.
hey guys, long time from me and no topics (yup moving is a pain).
i'm sure no one really remembers but at my last postings i was mentioning that my wife was pregnant.
well now i'm the proud poppa of a beautiful 2 week old baby girl.. this of course brings complications, my mother is still an active jw and surely chomping at the bit to bring my daughter (did i mention she's beautiful) to show off to all her meeting friends.. of course i don't want my daughter exposed to this, so i came up with a tactic i would like everyone's opinion on.
I have a relative who only visits their baby over to their JW grandma's house on non-meeting nights. And now, even a year later, grandma has never been allowed to keep their baby overnight. They are determined that their kid not be exposed to JW psychobable.
in my last 2 years in field service in australia tax laws meant we could no longer offer publications for money or directly ask for a donation.
if the householder asks, we would explain our voluntry work was paid for by donations.
i was suprised how many people would give you $10 or $20 dollars thinking it's going to some good cause....however, i would go and buy some lunch at mc donald's.
I'm the only breadwinner in my household.
A couple of weeks ago there ws an incident that prompted my wife to ask me about what would happen to our assets if either of us and\or our kid were all dead. I've determined what would happen if either or both of us were dead but had no answer if me and all my immediate family were dead.
At that point she proclaims that in case that were to happen, that all our assets should be donated to the Soceity.
The hell with that.
Even with the death of us all, I wouldn't want the Soceity getting their hands on one red cent that belonged to me.
It's barely even tolerable to me now that they are getting a small piece of the money I give her so she won't be walking around penniless.
