How relieved are you now that your finally set free?
by micheal ini was thinking back to the time when i was in my "spiritual paradise" oh about 7 months ago and i can really remember just how unhappy most people really were.
most seemed so loaded down with "privledges" and "responsiblilities" that it just sucked the life out of them.
any spirit they may previously had had faded to mere a shell of their former selves.

I have come to the conclusion that I will never be free. I have lived a life enslaved to wt teachings and warped thinking. That's not an easy thing to erase.

If you saw a serious car accident, would you...
by JH inif you saw a serious car accident, and people were trapped in the car, or unconscious in the wreck, would you try to get them out even if the car was on fire and could explode at any moment?.
coming back from quebec city today, i saw a car or truck in the ditch upside down and with lots of smoke coming out of the wreckage.
4 or 5 cars were stopped near by to look at the accident.

Yeah I agree with most on this one. I feel like I would obligated to help because I am a health care professional. I have helped others in similar situations like the one you described. It all depends on your conscience.

What In Life Have You Kicked Yourself For?
by minimus inwe all have wished that if we had just one more chance to make a decision and could have changed things, we would have done something differently.
is there anything that you would have changed in your life if only you could?

Not having the freedom to explore other religions. This religion is all I have know my entire life and that is not only sad but pathetic.
Getting baptized. Why? when your only 15.

It's easy to leave all that crap behind when you simply stop caring! You have only one you. why feel compelled to live your life in fear and unhappiness because of how one organization of people feel about you as a whole? There is no magic route to exit that religion. You simply use your common sense and judgement.
Stand up for yourself even if your standing alone!

jws and this site are so freaking pathetic. There are some serious losers on there. If you are such a catch and so spiritual why are you advertising on a online dating site? Some of the profiles are funny as hell.

What was you JC Meeting like?
by sandy in(inspired from caspian's thread) i hope the stories help rebel.
i was just wondering if any of you would like to share the details of your jc meeting.. i remember mine so well.
i was about 22 years old when i went to a jw relative of mine and broke my silence about sexual abuse i suffered as a child.. at this point i was involved in some normal young adult behavior (sex, drugs & rock n' roll) but because of my religious upbringing i was going crazy over it all.. well somebody took the liberty of telling the elders i wanted to talk to them about my devious behavior that i never admitted to anybody.

I simply refused to give them the answers they were looking for? Its really stupid to ask a question you already know the answer too! It pissed them off entirely. I honestly believed that collectively that had made the decision to DF before I sat foot in the hall that night. Oh well what's done is done! Thank God I am OUT!!!!!!!!!!

Have you or have you known someone disfellowshipped more than once??
by anakinsrise ini cam close to being disfellowshipped once,i was a servant so they only took awy all of my duties, and priv's.but i know a sister even dated her for 10 months who has been disfellowshipped 3 times.it was kind of funny because her 2 fleshly sisters got disfellow'ed around the same time and they all didnt seem to care and went to jamaica for 3 weeks.1 of them even came back pregnant.

but the elders treated me like crap since I "disassociated" myself and was not "disfellowshipped" It seems that they treat you worse when you disassociate because they feel you are of the "evil slave" class when you disassociate but when you are disfellowshipped you are just taken over by weakness
That is sad but so true Jads

Whats the deal with people on here who always feel the need to try to attract more attention for themselves by starting the thread "I am leaving" Just leave and move on with your life. Is there a need to start a thread for it? Its so lame
