in ancient times , o.t.speak, god dealt with humans in a variety of ways , dreams ,visions ,prophets,and prophetesses , then apparently 2000 years ago he must have said, i`m not doing this anymore.they , my followers will just have to beleive and put faith in what has been written down up untill the 20th century of the common era.
approximately 4000 years of human history where god has communicated with humans .
if you beleive that .. their has been no communication between god , with any human , whether by dreams , visions , or prophets , for the past 2000 years.. and may i add, their has been no communication from jesus during these past 2000 years either, giving us enlightend /updates about his sayings /prophecys that he gave while on earth 2000 years ago.. please explain.. smiddy.
Jehovah and Jesus are whispering into the ears of the Governing Body, new light every other week or so. Of course, those 8 men are so very humble that they would not dare reveal to anyone about their "special communication" with Jah and JC. And, of course, this is all happens invisibly during their weekly GB meetings at Bethel!--------Just saying!

i conducted the wt study tonight on higher education.
i wondered what the reaction of the bros and sis would be.
there was no deviation from the idea that a university education is not a good idea.
SAD day yesterday…..
So SAD (Special Assembly Day) at Madera Assembly Hall for so many reasons. I’m SAD that I went, but I wanted to be with my family to whom I’m trying subtly to present ttatt.
SAD to see so many old friends getting ‘old’ in front of my eyes as they cling desperately to the mythological idea of “Armageddon is just around the corner”.
SAD to see the same brothers used to present the parts on the program. Was like watching old TV re-runs.
SAD to see the WTBTS shipping some 80 year old guy from Bethel out here to give a couple of rah-rah speechs.
SAD to hear that our 1 day program “incurred expenses of $6,990.00 dollars”. (for what? the assembly hall that is 40 years old?)
SAD to have the WT review brother spew such a vile slanted view of ‘higher education’.
SADLY, it was like going out shopping for new tires for your car but when you get to the tire ‘super store’, all they had to ‘sell’ was old used tires and retreads. Truly a SAD day.

and within a month, he has been seeing a 69 year old woman who lived upstairs from him.

the wife has been sick for a year and she passed away in october.. now, the 80 year old man is like a teenager with this woman, making out in public places with this woman and introducing her to family and friends as his new girlfriend that he "loves".. the father's family thinks this is weird and are concerned about it.. any thoughts?
The PO in our former KH about 20 years ago lost his unbelieving wife in death. The 'witness' memorial was conducted by an elder in which he repeated several times how much love existed between our JW PO and his (unbelieving) wife. Less than 3 months later this PO,who deeply loved his unbelieving wife, was remarried to a JW 'sister'. The only problem I had with this was, that he and his new JW wife had been working together secularly for several years. It put the congregation "on it's ear": so to speak. It just seemed weird to all of us but I'm not judging---just saying!

my mother retired from her full-time job recently and has started attending meetings again.
she also has plenty of time to think about her wayward children, including me.
one night, we were talking and she asked me, again, why i wasn't going to meetings.

is it appropriate for a christian to own a cat, in light of their past pagan religious affiliation and the medical information that is now coming to light?
it would be misleading to answer this question with either a simple yes or a no.
the scriptural answer of necessity must be a qualified one, and it is easy to see why.
According to WTBTS research methods,
1) one must look at the third definition of the ancient Greek word for CAT and the fifth definition of the ancient Hebrew word for CAT see that the 3 letters C-A-T form a Trinity of letters. (Please ignore the fact that the word GOD also has 3 letters and also forms a Trinity of letters.)
2) CAT was not used in bloody animal sacrifices to apease Jehovah so CATS must not be very usefull.
3) JW's cannot own a whole CAT; BUT(if your conscience allows), you can own fractions of a CAT.---Just saying!

when god says something, it is like the meaning of traffic signal: red light means always stop.. when spirit-directed organization says something, it is like shining ever brighter till the full light of day, (proverb 4:18) and then it becomes dimmer and dimmer and at the end of the day darker and darkest, .
thus red lights meaning becomes start!.
yes, a spirit-directed organization can lie.
To answer the question, We first have to truly know if a "spirit-directed organization" even exists. Many claim to be "spirit-directed" but non can prove to be "spirit- directed". So, until we know for sure that there is such a thing as a "spirit-directed organization", we can't know if it can lie! Confused? Sorry, it's my JW illogic kicking in. Just saying!

this site's newbies usually lurk for a month or two, with no interaction with us.
Don't know if this site gets more Newbies than the WTS gets baptisms but the serious posters definitely make much more sense than the WTS. Just saying!

the definition of insanity boils down to expecting success by repeating actions which cause failure.. .
jehovah's witnesses are expected to prove their loyalty to the organization by believing and practicing what they are told.. does this lead to success or failure?.
ask the thousands of loyal believers who were led to expect armageddon in 1914, 1925, 1975!.
