  If the organization doesn't interperet prophesies and are only informed by God and Jesus then why the constant changes in WT policy? Does they really think God changes? They say that he is ever lasting and infalible. So if he's infalible he wouldn't change his mind about something of dire importance! And if they are trying to tell us that God changed his mind on the issue of blood or something then that would mean that the Bible would have to be changed as well. But the last thing in Revelations says that NOTHING IS TO BE CHANGED!!! There is no Bible v1.5. God inspired one person to write Genesis and then 2000 years later to write Revelations and nothing in Genesis had to change because of God's mind changing about something.

  God does not change his mind therefore his standards also do not change. And if there were a ONE TRUE RELIGION it would also not change. But the very fact that the WT changes their beliefs like a pair of socks proves they are not THE ONE!

  The thing I thought was funny about the whole France and war thing is that they have such a VERY long history of either losing very badly in a war or just flat out running away from war. Ever hear the term "rifle droppers"?

  I just loved how, at the beginning of this conflict France was originally showing support for our efforts to kill Saddam and wanted to help us. And I was thinking to myself, How is it that France is going to help us get Saddam out of Iraq when they wouldn't even help us get Hitler...OUT OF FRANCE!!!??? And tyrant was in their own country and they were too cowardly to help us then.

  But it just boils down to the fact that they want all the spoils from the game without ever putting in their ante.

  They Finally Did It

  my parents have finally disowned me.. my dad called yesturday and told me to get the "dogs of my mothers back" about my upcoming wedding.. i told him that i havent put anyone on mum's back and if they are saying it, its because they want to and don't agree with what he and mum are doing.

  i said that mum can speak for herself and he said that she and will and the next time you speak to your mother she will tell you that we dont want to ever speak to or see you again...".

  at this point in the conversation i hung up the phone in his ear.

  kelpie, you're right in that the mother and father you knew will never be back. They will always be different people from now on. Even if you made up with them things will never be the same. How could you be close again with someone that so easily cast you aside? Pathetic excuses for human beings...

  Why do JW's get so pissed off w/ anyone who disagrees w/ them?

  i have read so many posts on this and other sites by jw's & their defenders(silentlambs.org for one) where so much hate & vitriol is directed at those who are'nt doing a damn thing except disagreeing /questioning their policies.

  when they are supposedly taught all this love & junk, why are they so hateful?

  Has anyone ever seen someone that WANTS to believe in something so bad, whether it's religious or scientific or anything, and they know they are wrong but they just NEED to believe it and anytime anyone questions what they believe they react violently? That's the same with JW's. The GB reacts that way because it will uncover their lies. The Elders react that way because they are the whores of the GB and they are protecting their power. The average JW reacts that way as a behavioral instinct. I think alot of them KNOW that there are lies and deciets but their subconscious won't let that through to their conscious. So the subconscious tries to protect the consciousness by reacting violently to protect itself from the damage of knowing the truth.

  The brain is an amazing and conflicted thing. Their are parts of your brain that operate in direct contrast to the rest of the brain. Like one part has it's own independent agenda. The subconscious is a very powerful thing and it will sometimes act against your best interests in an attempt to protect you from psycological harm. I think this is why the average JW reacts like they do when you contradict them.

  Isn't it funny how, whenever anyone speaks up about something horrible that is happening elsewhere someone ALWAYS has to chime in and say something like, "Well it must be nice to be so perfect" and then on to list a bunch bad things someone somewhere else has done. As if this justifies what's going on.

  If you complain about Joe Schmo then someone has to give you a list of bad things about YOU.

  If you complain about Iraq someone has to give you a list of all the bad things the US has done.

  Please people, grow up and accept the fact that Saddam just needs to freakin die.

  i just got off the phone with my hr guy.

  he says that they won't have things "wrapped up" until thursday.

  my speculation is that my story vs. her story are pretty different, and they are waiting for her to get back so they can ask her some more questions.. this is the most ridiculous thing i have ever been through.

  If this turns out ok tell them some time after that when you walked past her she turned around and stared at your ass and this offends you. Then tell them that because she OBVIOUSLY is out to get me by making the previous complaint and resulted in my livelyhood being threatened that you feel threatened by her. And tell them that you can't work comfortably in a place that makes you feel threatened all the time.

  Unclepenn, I guess he meant that he believes in universalism, that all roads lead to God. All roads but Undishfellowship's. And all roads as long as he agrees with them. I think alot of people here have trouble getting the ONE WAY methodology out of their heads after leaving the JWs. They still have that mentality that what they think is the only way and when someone else says what they believe they get ridiculed. Folks! You are not JW's anymore. Get rid of your elitist "I'm right and your wrong" attitude. It seems that the only thing that has changed since some of you left is just some of your beliefs. But the way that you hold those beliefs hasn't changed and I think that's the most important thing that NEEDS to change.
