  I was fairly new at the door to door stuff and the pioneer brother who was 'training' me was watching my back. We came to one door and an old guy who lookes like Willie Nelson, (wrinkles, long hair, guitar strap headband) stepped out the door and closed it right behind himself and leaned on the closed door. He was pissed! His wife had sent him out to get ride of us! I tried to be nice and I listened to him give us shit for a few minutes. Well, I was new and not used to taking crap from people. When he was done and started to open the door I said, "Maybe if you took some asprin you would feel better!" Willies face turned bright red and he spit out, " I'll take some asprin!!!" and he was so mad he got caught in the door. He was trying to get through it and close it at the same time. What a strooge! I walked off the steps quite pleased with myself. The brother was real quiet. When we got to the street he said in a very stern manner, "Never do that again!" I was surprised! Then he started to laugh, and we both laughted. Maverick

  Welcome Goofy: Glad to have shared your experience. I remember one day, planning out the things I had to do, and thinking ," I have to be home by 5PM to get ready for Book study", when a wave of melancholy overcame me. Just the thought of enduring another meeting set off a bout of mild depression! And I liked the Book Study best! That was it. I realized that when even the thought of going to a meeting set off feelings of dread I was never going back. I never did and they never came looking.

  Enjoy your life and be true to yourself. I have found that when I am unhappy with me it is because I am not being true to my nature. I wish you peace, Maverick

  one of the 'problems' i had before blackguard deprogrammed me was i could not reconcile the actions of the j-dud masters with a loving god.

  i felt if god was with these people i did not want to live in any new system under this power structure.

  if god was as phoney, vengeful, and petty a person as his faithful and discreet slave was i was better off dead.

  JW's Should Not Wear Too Much Makeup Or Baggy Clothing Per New KM

  if you weren't quite sure how jehovah god expects you to dress, the april 2003 km helps us to see his viewpoint.

  "well-arranged dress shows reverence for god" is the article that assists us to know god's feelings on these matters.

  i will give you some quotes from the article: "soon we will have the privilege of being jehovah's guests at the 2003 ' give god glory' disctrict convention.

  I wish the J-dud Masters would give the duds some practical advise, such as:

  It would be wise for Elders and other brothers of authority to learn how to properly tie their ties. These ties should not be stained and soiled with food products...Nor should their shirt collars! Owning and using an iron on shirts and pants also is encouraged. Wearing a belt that has been run through ALL the belt loops adds to that clean crisp look. Not buying cheap ratty used suits and having suits dry cleaned and pressed at least once in the last year will add to ones deportment! And all servants of Jehovah should have proper foot gear! Shoes polished is a must, this counsel should especially be heeded by CO's. We should see your face on the tops of those shoes. (Sisters beware!)

  Sisters: Pantyhose should be worn at all meetings! And please remove hair from your legs before you put on those hose. Jehovah does not want to see hair sticking through the fabric of your hose. Washing your hair and combing or brushing it regularly will add to your spiritual condition. (Not to mention your chances of meeting a halfway deceit brother.) And dump the frump look. Nice sundresses and painted nails will please the Organization! If you are in doubt, anything Lucy, of I love Lucy had on in the 1950's is safe and proper for a sister in the 21 Century!   Everyone knows Blackguard is kidding, right?

  I remember a brother who was looking forward to being a 'Prince in the 'New System'. He was going along with the Corporation hoping he would be like a governor over some big territory. He already had some subordiates picked out if they made through the end of this system. I secretly hoped I would not be living anywhere near this control freak! The writing dept. of the GB have realy burned all of this into the memberships minds. I wonder if many Elders and Servants are looking for preferential status in their New World? Maverick

  " it has only the briefest of jefferson's biography (a mere 41 pages), with the bulk of its nearly 600 pages devoted to copies of jefferson's speeches, and letters.

  Hey Farkel: The 85 XJS coup is one sexy car, very James Bond. The Brits do have style! Mine is a 5.0 roller-rocker, fuel injected custom job with a turbo 400 drag racing tranny. All tricked out interior, CD with remote on the streering, sunroof and custom spinner wheels. Fun to run! And my front plate says, "The body may be English but the guts are all American!" Maverick

  Very fine research. They have a legalistic answer to justify everything. They suck you in and then act all innocent and say, "You should have known!" They tell you that you are to blame, and how dare you question them, the great and powerful OZ! They hide behide 'religion' when they need to and 'worship' when it suits them. If what they say about the legal corporation not being accountable and that we can't use that route to nullify our 'contract' why didn't they DF me for apostacy? They never contested my Baptism Nullification and DA'd me as an unbaptized publisher. I really think they don't want to go there. I was baptized in 1979, before the change in the oath. I understand they changed the oath in 1985 because they had some legal trouble and were told to make those changes by their legal department. After all, where are those baptism procedures and questions in the Bible? Love your posts, Maverick

  I don't know about that. There are meeting everyday of the week in my area. Many Halls have three or more congs. sharing them. My book study night was Monday and school and service meetings were Wed. We had groups using the Hall every night. I have noticed that the weekends seem slow. I think it might be because many ex J-dud have lives now! Maverick
