  hello i'm kaz and i'm new here.. i was a jw for nearly thirty years, i felt like a "lame duck" when i left, but now i have got a life at last!.

  i have only just got a computer, so please bear with me - i am learning to type too !!.

  What kind of JW would it take to defend his/her faith amongst apostates?

  im thinking only a brain-dead one!

  maybe the whipper snapper shows off to his/her jw friends, thinking they're so strong and superior because it doesnt affect their faith in god.

  (only a jw this small minded would even bother and would fail to see even some of the truth in what x-jws say.

  First off I would like to state, "We are not the apostates!" Now that I have that off my chest I too have wondered about why faithful duds would ever come here. Could it be that some people are very adept at navigating the web and got curious or stumbled on here by mistake? Then, when they started reading the threads they became indignant? It bothered them to the point where they just had to respond? Feeling, how can people attack Mommy like that? It is with good reason their Society does not want them here. The truth stands tall, only the lie tries to suppress. Maverick

  Thanks again Blondie for getting dirty for us. Sifting through the trash, as it were. I look forward to your posts. I have a few friends that go to the meetings and make all the appearances but don't really believe all their crap. Your posts give me points to share with these people. I have found that the brothers who appear the meekest were all the fakest. How's that? Maverick

  Great post. Their chains are made of paper. Their power is a illusion. They subjugate only the willing. Your rules from now on, not theirs. When ever you are in a setting with the J-duds ask yourself if they are laying the ground rules for this interaction. If the answer is yes, change the rules. You are now free, welcome to life again.   dubs are right no matter what

  i was talking with my mom and great uncle the other night about this new diet/way of eating i am trying out.

  what i am doing is based on sound nutritional advice from doctors and nutritionists.

  it is even working as i have lost a few pounds and feel alot better than i have in a while.

  I does seem you have a valid point here SpiceItUp. I wonder if it is because they have answers for everything. They understand everything. Their little demigods up in Brooklyn have laid the whole history of humanity in a nice neat package. And anything that is not flat out spelled out is answered with, "in Jehovah's due time it will be reveald!" It is very comforting to have all the answers about all of lifes situations.

  I have seen a lot of J-duds not look after their health and their families health because the new system was right around the corner and God will fix this problem or that problem. So why spend the time and money now. The attitude was; you are showing a lack of faith if you get corrective surgery or braces or worry about your diet. God's new system will fix it. What foolishness! Maverick

  I was shunned today for the first time!

  i have just been reminded of the sad, sad world that i feel so sorry jehovahs witnesses feel they have to live in, day in, day out.

  i saw an elder where i was working and i was in rather a good mood joking and chatting with work mates and the elder caught my eye so i smiled at him and said hello naturally as i would do anyone i used to know and hadnt seen for a while.

  his response: - gives me a sore look and then totally ignores me.

  You can turn this around if you wish. When I see the 'friends' I ambush them. I will come around a corner and say, real loud, "How are you, good to see you!" They always say something back, it is natural to do that. Then they get flustered and sulk away because they know I got them! Others who see it always ask me what their 'problem' was. Then I tell them about the shunning. Most people know nothing about it and they tend to think the J-duds are stupid. Maverick

  recently i asked:have you experienced god?and many of you responded.the question was not intended to prove that god exists,or,doesn't.rather, what each persons own experience meant for them.. now,i thought that it would be only fair to ask:have you experienced satan?again not to prove that satan exists or dosen't.rather what each persons own experience meant for them.. maybe some have experienced both,god and satan at different times,or can you tell the difference?.

  Yes, he is a committee man, loves them. Loves meetings and secret get togethers to punish the faithful. Has a whole staff of dupes working night and day to sprend his message of hopelessness and bad will. Hear his followers calling out," Death to all opposers, life to supporters!" They carry these little books and mags, and claim to be the only true spokes persons of God. Too bad it is for the wrong god! Maverick, who runs into the Devils crew all the time....at Home Depot!

  JW's that tried to Blackball my Hubby in work , since D/A

  many of you know that my husband's work is fixing hail damage in cars, and that we have traveled for 10 years from colorado, texas, ok, kansas, etc.

  but those mainly were his best contacts , and also all jw's in the business.. last summer one of our best contacts who lives in co, called to tell my husband that he had a hail storm hit that very day, and said that since he has d/a himself he will no longer work him.

  i understand that some may not let their conscience do that being firm jw believers.

  Dear gcc2k; I appreciate your feelings of fair play. But this is not a level playing field. The J-duds make all sorts of claims based on their status as duds. But many have a underlining belief that all this is temporary and of no lasting value or significants. And that most of the people they are dealing with are gonna die! This does have an impact on their work ethic. They claim the preaching work is their vocation and work work is their avocation. They do not have the same ethics as worldlings do by the creed of their Masters. My Dad, a non dud, is retired but I get him to work his magic for my clients now and again. They always tell me the same thing after they have had us both work for them. "We see where you get your work ethics and professionalism, your Dad." I was before being a dud, and am now the same kind of worker, the Duds did none of it. I have always been appalled at the work ethic of most duds. And again, the higher the rank the lazier they have proved to be. Maverick
