I would...they are my parents, no matter what...just because they may not have been so nice to me or even shunned me. Many of us don't like the way some of JW's relatives treat us...they are not nice, they shun, they do this they do that....but should we be like them....NO...

Here's something to think about...Let's think about the story of Christ & Judas...now...Christ knew Judas was going to betray him, yet when he washed the feet of his disciples, did he leave out Judas...NO...to me that's the true meaning of being a Christian....sometimes doing something you don't want to do for someone that you don't like or have treated you badly. It's easy to be nice to those who are nice to you, but when they aren't, & we try to get them back, that's not the right thing to do.....We come on here & say how JW's are this & that...but we have to be better...even if you are not a christian or believe in God, it's just the right thing to do....It's not good to hold grudges...they can be toxic...maybe at one time or another we treated someone not so nice too...maybe we knew it maybe it was un-intentional.....ain't none of us here were ever perfect & always did or said the right thing...we may have hurt someones feelings at one time or another....It's called life...your parents gave it to you...& you are on this site, because they decided to have you, & being a child, and some of us did the silly & stupid things we did, they could've killed us...but they didn't...they left us alive....Life never promised us fair...

well, it's christmas eve afternoon here now in the uk.. traditionally a time when all the panic shopping is over, what's done is done, what you've forgotten you've forgotten, time to raise a glass (or two) and relax.. so may i wish all members/readers/posters a very happy xmas, whether you celebrate it or not, and extra 'get up and go' for 2015.. best wishes to all.. .

I know of 2 sisters that have never had sex....according to them....it's a sight to see...they can't focus, very judgemental, when a man talks to them they go crazy..." That man is nasty....he only wants one thing" I then ask them...did they ask you for sex...they answer NO...I shake my head & said..ummm...could that be what you want ? Talk about going off...their bodies have no release....so they are the most non-focused, self absorbed folks I ever met, everytime they talk about something they don't do...they say...well, I know I couldn't or wouldn't do this or that...One sister & I even talked about porno...she thought it was disgusting...I told her...you don't know how many marriages have been saved by porn...not the ones that folks are torturing one another the ones, that just turn you on...she had no idea...Poor thing...I think many of us on here have learned alot from cool porn...

On the subject of Gay...there are no experts on Gay...if you are not Gay, you don't have a clue...just like if you are gay, you only have a visual clue of being straight...by the way, what is straight...only a arrow..... How does a turtle know how a bird feels...they don't...it's all speculation... I have gay friends...& they try to be happy but it's not a fun life..it's very transient. They rarely ever find true love...most attract straight men or so they appear to be, men who want to have something different then go back home to their straight life. Imagine living your entire life with no real love...Not every male is a jock & not every female is ultra femine...Not every male can fix things & be handy & not every female is domesticated...This will always be a puzzlement...

all of the wts tactics and procedures are based off of your most basic mlm (multi-level marketing) schemes.

take your pick of amway, or any of the other vitamin or financial mlm's.

they all work the exact same way.

Exactly true...I know many in the society that belong to those type of Pyramid schemes. I think for one it's a sense of belonging...they need structure...& by nature they are competitive...don't want to work a regular job from 9-5, basically they want to do what they want to do when they want to do it. Another thing...the folks I've met HAD GREAT JOBS ..I say had....MADE MORE $$ THEN THEY WOULD MAKE IN THESE SCHEMES.... I think it's a certain type personality that is attracted to these types of enviroments...In my life I have been approached by almost every type of pyramid scheme, but you can bet by the time I hear it...the money has already been made....I call it....a hopefully get rich scheme...Just like being a witness you can never do enough is the same for these schemes....they are always recruiting folks. They always see a potential client ......or bible student....basically everybody is a victim.

Right on....I think it's a bit arrogant of them to choose for JW's to go to Israel. They are thinking....ah, wait 'til they hear our good news..I agree they are very intelligent over there. I always wondered how I could contact someone in Israel to find out the real date...but don't know where to start. Not that I would share it with any of the friends, because they are brainwashed, they would be ignorant enough to say, them Jews in Israel what do they know....

Just imagine knocking on a door & saying some of the stuff they say....would I love to be a fly on the wall...Those folks there know their history...Most of them would say, so, how did you come up with that....it will be interesting to see how this plays out...I just hope no one gets hurt.....

I really think the society doesn't realize what they are asking...wait a minute, yes they do, they want to be persecuted.

If the end doesn't come we are going to make sure we start something....they are going to Israel to have new stories in the year book of year ?????..

We will one day read how some went to Israel & were persecuted...blah blah blah...

They are going.... to be persecuted....they haven't been persecuted in a long time because most folks don't care if you are a witness....but think of this...while they are there...they may find out about 607 BC...ah, maybe God is intervening & sending them there to show that...no..not 607 BC....Or...God did say, when the Jews come back & believe in Jesus, that's when he'll move....so maybe the witnesses don't know that they will be doing God's will. Because the society feels that the Jews have been cut off, but not....

The society wants to see who will die for them....

when a person is disfellowshiped by a religion just because he or she doesn't believe it all is very serious.

some disfellowshiped ones have even taken their own lives because they have been made to feel so bad.

it's down in black and white that parents and friends are supposed to shun them, shunning is acting like someone is dead.

JW are naive

one dictionary defines naive as;generally speaking,to be naive means you do not think enough.people who are "naive" tend to beleive in whatever they are told,without questioning whether it is right or wrong.i think this defines jw because they accept whatever the group of 7 tells them.ex.the several definations of a generation.or the end is near see wt 2000 etc.. these people are naive,because they believe that people like himmler regret sending all jews to the gas chamber( quote from internet).

Ummm, I think not...they know how to work the system...you have to be smart to do that...they play naive so they don't appear worldly, if they act as if they know, then the rest of us would know...that they know...so they say they don't know...to keep you from knowing....that they are part of the world. You know how some folks like to play innocent, but it's only an act....I talk to the friends all they time...they go to the movies, watch TV, etc, they know alot of things but they want to act religious & virginly (is that a word)? But God see's it all....he's all knowing....

So don't buy the naive'ness...they are smarter than most...they know how to work part-time, work the system to their advantage...know how to count time even if they are not making time...they are cleaver....

Some are naieve, but they won't stay that way for long....

How do you overcome this JW excuse?

during one of those meetings that took place before my jc, one of the elders, who was a good friend of mine back then and used to come up with a few outlandish personal views about some teachings, attempted to counter one of my arguments like this:.

eden - "well, if the truth doesn't change, why is it that what we teach as 'truth' has changed over the years (several examples given)?

how can we dogmatically claim at any given moment that we have 'the truth' if our teachings keep changing?".

The org. can't be wrong...if it is...the elder would lose all his cookies....what I don't think most folks on here realize is that the org. is the only string that keeps them alive....destroy their beliefs, you would destroy them....there is nothing else in this life for them...as far as they are concerned...Life is a lie...so the only truth is the org. even if it wrong. Everybody & everythings is wrong...so what most witnesses are really saying is this...please don't take away my security blanky....without I would ......die....Ever lay in your bed & think about death...it shakes you to your very core, don't it...to think...wow, I may never ever come back, sends chills up one's back...so don't you think it's the same for witnesses...to lay in their beds to think the org. is a lie & that this life is all there is..chills...they are holding on for dear life...some of the friends in my hall, their entire life is the hall...that's all they know..or should I say, all they want to know...

You don't have to overcome any JW excuses....let them have their blanky....just think if they did leave & they were left to walk around us that do think...most of them would end of draining the system, because they can't function without the org...let them be....it's safer for all of us...

I go to my meetings...& I observe...social misfits...they can only Love God/Society, & that's all they can do...they try to love one another, but just can't....most of them were never taught or showed love...it's just a word to them....you can tell by the hugs..some give you a bear hug & some hardly even touch you ....if you ever told one that this is not God's org...they'd start to foam at the mouth, don't you know most of them are in the org. for just that reason...not because of the doctrine but because it's God's org....take that away...would any of them stay...I think not...what do you think if you told folks there was no Tooth Fairy or Santa Claus...Kabooooom....
